Heads up #2!

Anyone who wants to come put out the stable fire, we are a go from tomorrow. I'll stick a post up about lunchtime 14:00 GMT, and be around all day to thread. Post is up; feel free to jump in with whomever you like! It might have a couple of subheadings to separate animal rescue and fire dousing, but it's pretty much do what you like. The whole thing will be started and finished in the one thread, so just use Millitime as convenient if actual threading goes on longer than Friday.

I'm crashing now, but yell out if you have any questions and I'll pick them all up in the morning. <3


ETA: I should know better than to post things at 2am. I've pushed back start time a couple of hours for other-mun availability. Also, quick reminder for reference when playing:

- Only two stalls will have actual fire in them, but it'll be quite strong and there'll be obvious risk of it spreading what with wood and straw about the place. There will be a lot of smoke, and I imagine all the animals will be in some state of panic/stress.

- Seimei is going to douse it once and for all, so all water-threads are millitimed to before that. But feel free to go nuts in the meantime; a final fire-killing post is there to round the thing off, but you can chuck whatever you like at it for as long as it's fun. Pups can worry about it spreading, have sparks fly to other bits of straw and need dealing with, have to leave the place for a while because of smoke inhalation/whatever. 

- as for animal wrangling, we've got some named horses, a thoat, a two headed cow, and there are at least two horses (Duncan and Rachat) that IIRC, don't have specific owners but just belong to Milliways. There are probably horses from retired pups still nebulously around as well - in short, if you want your pup to wrestle a frightened animal inside or outside the stables, just go for it.

Okay, I probably won't be up until a few hours after that goes up, but that can be made to work on my end. Just a heads up that William will get there and probably at some point get annoyed at all the people. I know he'll focus on animal rescue and wrangling, but this should be good.

I so totally wasn't thinking about availability when I posted this last night, sorry! I'll hold it off until about 2pm my time so it can be there for whomever wants to get started, but William can jump in whenever and yell at people/organise stuff. :D

Go for having him saved, please! I'm going to have Jim loiter around the water area in a bit, but I can't see him going near the actual fire.

I just had William yelling at people who aren't helping with animals or fire to get out at the end of one thread. Its not meant to be an actual end, he's worried about all the bodies and someone getting hurt if anyone wants to react to that.

I'm thinking of putting up either a subthread or new post of oh god survived and recovering after. Tomorrow will be a little busier for me but that could be a starting place for figuring out what happened.

Yeah, sounds perfect! It also occurs to me that some rebuilding will be necessary - Javert and Valjean will volunteer, for sure - so they can chat about that. And also realise that it was a targeted thing, which will be a good jump-off point for Security.

I'm finally here, long day of errands but I'm thinking of doing an after subthread to keep everything in the same place. Then do an EP of the next day or such, much later with William processing more, he's not happy about any of this.

Cool, thank you! I'll edit this post/stick up a new one or an in-EP note to say that all fire dousing attempts should be millitimed to before Seimei shows up to put it out for good. So whenever suits is is totally fine - slowtime and Millitime is definitely our friend in this case, and it's all really an excuse for people to rush around and have fun anyway. :)

I think most of the general fire-fighting is now either done or in progress, so feel free to stick up a final fire-killing tag whenever's convenient. :)

Okay! I just did a top-level comment where Seimei puts the fire out with a cool-looking water spell. :) Of course, now the stables are kind of soaked, but that's a big improvement over "on fire."

That would probably be a good idea, actually. I didn't see if anyone got injured in the fire but it would be a sensible thing to do.
