Greetings Millifolk!

The Milliways 2nd County Fair starts shortly - IC from 4th July to 9th, but OOC I will likely be putting it up tomorrow to give everyone who does 4th July things chance to take part.

This event is open to everyone and comprises of two main parts, a horticultural show, and stalls and games.

Horticultural Show

There are four categories to compete in this year (we reduced them to make it more of a competition):

- Best Fruit - Judged by Bonnie and Valjean
- Best Vegetable - Judged by Bonnie and Ragnar
- Best Children's Picture - Judged by Bonnie and Valjean
- Best Craftwork - Judged by Bonnie and Teja

If your pup wants to enter the show, you will need to prepare an entry like this, with a description and optional other things like a link to a picture. Just make sure your pup doesn't write their name on it, it's meant to be anonymous to the judges.

Your entry does not have to be serious, indeed there are various special prizes for entertaining entries. E.g. in the link above 'Those aren't even potatoes. That's a single lemon and a stuffed moogle.'

If you are away from this weekend and cannot post your entry you can send it to me today and I will post it up for you.

All entries must be in by Wednesday 6th July 9pm GMT/3pm EST. No late entries will be accepted. Both judges will then score out of ten*, and prizes will be awarded in the next 24 hours. We will make it as fair as possible but it is all a bit of fun.

Oh, one last thing - please mingle on the bits below rather than this part of the post, as this will help greatly with scoring.

Stalls
Anyone who has signed up to run a stall can do it however they please. If you didn't sign up you are still welcome to run a stall, but please try not to overlap with the ones already up if you can.

Games
This year your pups can also win IC prizes by getting high scores in the games. Just post your score in the relevant part of the post marked 'High Scores'.
I am reliably informed that at least one of the games (the duck shooter) gives you virtual prizes, so feel free to incorporate this as you like!

Enjoy the show! Any questions, contact me by PM or guppymun on AIM.

[*Some of the judges' pups may be competitors, because we have charries that would IC want to do this and because we post some up as examples. If so, that judge's score gets replaced by the d10 as a default, but last year I rigged it further so that none of mine won anything that there was a competition over.]

ETA: The fair is now Live :)
