Mornin' folks

(smoke detector *shakes fist*)

Thought these two threads, of the ones on my post, were partic. fine, but there were some great ones on other posts as well -- Tom, how'd I do making you feel like an absolute shit? :D PLEASE do link in the comments!

Willow weeps on Tonks' shoulder:

Sirius and Elizabeth flirt: http://www.livejournal.com/community/milliways_bar/53498.html?thread=1462522#t1462522

Tom or Door, would one of you post the relevant threads to Door rescuing her sister? And what's this I hear about Beatrice and Sappho?

Ogling again, love?

Holy cow! That was a fine tutorial, mi'ladies, because eventually I'm sure something similar will happen in one of Tom's thread. At least, he hopes so, anyway ;)

Eek. I was rereading the Threads o' the Day, and realized that I never got your last reply on the Sirius/Elizabeth thread. Either LJ comment didn't send the email, or it got buried in the flood of comment emails. Sorry about unintentionally killing the thread.

Tom, how'd I do making you feel like an absolute shit?

Oh, I think the torment has only just begun for our boy Tom ;) You gave it a fine start last night, and I thank you.

(applauds) You know, the Ballad of Tom And Door shapes to become fanon, in my head, in a good way.

((puts down HP/OotP, suddenly confused)) "But Lord Voldemort can't be in the Ministry, because Tom Riddle mysteriously disappeared in 1954..."

...and your exploits outside the bar are so well-executed.

Run along now and look tortured. :)

((puts down HP/OotP, suddenly confused)) "But Lord Voldemort can't be in the Ministry, because Tom Riddle mysteriously disappeared in 1954..."

No, he didn't really disappear - the salvageable part of him was whisked out of the timeline. There was still a version Tom left behind, and so still a Voldemort. But just not this Tom. Alt universes, you know? At least, that's the story I'm going to stick to.

Um, by the way - the Lucifer/Kassandra/Lady Luck scene? Oh my guh! Hot and scary!

[identity profile] strange-selkie.livejournal.com 2004-07-12 07:33 am (UTC)(link)
Hey, thanks. :) Lucifer and Luck did somewhat gang up on 'Xandra...
(defends vaguely-existent moral code)

..But writing mostly-allusory smut is sort of a specialite a la maison, around here.

I do hope I have more to me than smut, as I hope to prove this evening. It may go down like the oft-mentioned lead balloon, but...

Oh honey, you are so much more than smut. I love Kassandra.

Oooh, tonight's going to be soo much fun. Thank goodness my class is in the computer lab where I can hide and refresh until I can jump in and participate.

Lucifer and the Lady play at dice and pile on symbolism with heavy shovels:

They then get bored and decide to seduce Kassandra:

The poor girl never stood a chance :D

In which Regulus and Hob fight, and Peter and Paul jump in as well.

Oh yeah. I'm not flustered anymore ;

Not to mention, Peter has a plethora of reasons to hate Voldemort...past, present or future versions.

I know LJ has been having problems, but I don't know whether it's a matter of the site or of my email. I'm on Gmail, and the threading feature does stupid things with my comments. I've had comment notifications surface as an unread message hours after the comment was left. Likewise, the threading makes no damn sense. Given that the conversations from last night have something like 150 messages apiece, all out of order... it's hard to find things.

*sigh* At least the space is nice. Milliways notifications have taken up 2 MB in my account already.

Yeah, the problem with being a nice, sweet, non-conflict loving person in real life sometimes makes it hard to channel an evil character's rage in the live atmosphere of this RP ;) But I'm getting better at it! Which may or may not be a good thing :P

There is much safety in snarking. So snark on, my good man, snark on ;)

[identity profile] clearobscurity.livejournal.com 2004-07-12 01:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmm. Then I can stop hating on Gmail in that regard. That's good, cos I really do like Gmail. I even like the threading for actual conversations. I just hate the way it handles LJ comments.

I mean, really. I'll get comments from two different people in response to the same post. You would think they'd at least go to the same conversation in Gmail, right? NO.

And then there are comments to each of those comments. They should go to the same conversation in Gmail as the original comment, right? NO.

*is ready to sic flying monkeys on Gmail*

You used to be able to unthread them by sending them all to the trash, and then bringing them back to the Inbox. They'd break apart at that point. Alas, no more.

XD Sirius could probably go Snark at Hob today, if he liked. 'cos he probably heard the shouting, and stuff. (Not that I suggested this. *isn't here*)

Ahaha. XD Reg likes him, though. Which is odd.

[identity profile] clearobscurity.livejournal.com 2004-07-12 01:50 pm (UTC)(link)
That's what I'd thought, and it does work if you have subject topics entered. But then I started getting subjectless comments (er - in title, not substance) to the same post delivered to different conversation threads. Last night, I was in (I think) three different RPs on the comm, but had five Gmail conversations going. It makes no sense at all.

Even worse, feedback messages for some of my posted writing have gotten mixed in with the Milliways convos. I'd really like to have those out.

*snorfle* I'm about this close to charging you for a new keyboard. (Which isn't even mine, so.) XD

Also, eh. Stupid badguys who weren't really badguys. They're silly and stupid. And stuff. (Or: hey, Regulus is an idiot. But we knew that.)

[identity profile] gehayi.livejournal.com 2004-07-12 02:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Reg is an idiot, but he has great taste in men. Now if Hob would stop moping about Morpheus and pursuing Paul the evil homicidal ghost, the immortal and the formerly dead wizard just might have a chance.

...What am I SAYING?

[personal profile] kabeleced 2004-07-12 02:29 pm (UTC)(link)
You are saying EXACTLY WHAT I'M THINKING.

*g* Oh, that's why. I was wondering a little, actually.

[identity profile] clearobscurity.livejournal.com 2004-07-12 02:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Supposedly the Google engineers are working on it, because LJ users have been spamming them with emails. I'll believe that when I see a 'kill thread' option. As far as the auto-sort, I'm not sure if you're talking about the filter function? You can set up filters to handle your email. The only problem with that, is that all LJ comment emails come from the same address. You could auto-sort the comments away from your other email, but you'd still have the wonky threading issue.

I suppose there's always the search feature if we need to find anything, but ay. Sometimes gmail makes me want a double-shot of liquid ibuprofen.

May I just point out that Peter did not spend twelve years as a rat out of overwhelming devotion to the late Voldemort or his cause.

It says something when the guy would rather live as a rat than as a Death Eater (present or reformed).
