Raph, could I get you to hold off on showing Star Wars to Elizabeth for a couple of weeks? I'm going to be gone until August 1st, and although admittedly I don't care whether Glorfindel's there for it or not...

... my other character is Luke Skywalker.

So, um, if you can bring yourself to wait, I'd really appreciate it. Because every time I even imagine Luke Skywalker watching Star Wars, I end up giggling like a madwoman.

I just want you to know that I about fell off my chair in hysterics when I saw someone was playing Luke.
Of course I'll wait! If for no other reason than it'll be awesome to try and explain to Elizabeth that the people in the movie aren't real, and are actors....only to have you show up.

(Peter saw this film in the summer of 1977, by the way. Sometimes being Muggleborn has advantages. Like seeing good films.)

Oh thank god. I was afraid that Raph'd be the only one who knew it was a movie. Raph has a tendency to hit things when he gets frustrated....so this will be better.

I've been thinking about the cantina scene, too. Milliways is going to seem so... normal to poor Luke.

(I wrote a very, very unacceptable fic once, in my very early fic-writing days, that involved Peter going to see Star Wars. I'm glad it's occurred to other people, too.)
