She was the pioneer woman who the town of Dixon was named after in the Johnny Bellair books (I have no idea if anyone remembers these other than me, but my third grade teacher read them all to us; they were AWESOME. also, mildly TERRIFYING), with a statue of her in the town square and everything, and I am almost completely certain that her ghost shows up in one of the books or something.
