I told Fahye I'd make a go at summarizing everything that has occurred recently between Hob and Lucifer and Billy, since it's in several threads and much of it is behind OOM posts. So here is a fairly bare-bones structure, in chronological order.
A few days ago, Hob is unable to sleep. Lucifer is there, and senses his guilt, and wants to know why he feels he's betrayed Billy. Hob confesses that he has fallen in love with Lucifer. Lucifer breaks him for it. He tells Hob to do what he wants, and Hob kisses him. They go to bed. For those keeping track, it is the first time. When Hob wakes up, Lucifer is gone.
The next night Hob shows up at the bar drinking determinedly. He acts guilty towards Billy and breaks a glass. He and Billy say terrible, beautiful things. Billy confesses that he trusts Hob. Hob tells him he shouldn't, and ends things.
Last night when Hob turns up, he and Billy are already quite drunk. Billy lets him know that he knows Hob slept with Lucifer. Hob says that everything he told Billy is still true. Billy tells him he wants to stop existing, which panics Hob. There is pain. Billy confesses that he can't sleep without Hob there. Hob wants to stay with him till he can fall asleep, but Billy says he doesn't want pity and leaves.
Afterwards Hob finally encounters Lucifer, who says incredibly cruel things and reduces Hob to tears. Hob breaks down into Middle English and tells him he'd stay and let Lucifer destroy him rather than walk away. Lucifer is scathing. Hob says he's ended things with Billy. Lucifer kisses him and tells him that he doesn't love him. Hob trades all claim to Lucifer for the promise that he'll be there when Hob wakes up. Lucifer is pleased, and it's intimated that they go to bed.
Yes, I know. So much breakage. For me, too.
