Moiraine-mun and Tom-mun's Labor Day Vacation

So Moiraine-mun (hereafter known as M-mun, cos dude, that's just too long) and I just got back from a great trip to visit friends from our first internet fandom cult in Utah. We had a great time, and we were both amazed by the bountiful blessings we received that told us that our trip was Meant To Be.

First of all, an 8 hour drive goes by really fast when you talk Milliways the entire time. Plot, plot, plot! Wheeeeee! Also, therapy was needed as poor Tom was broken the entire way there and for part of the vacation until I realized the Real Life issues (with a capital Ish, as James Potter might say) that had been upsetting me as a result of the Ingress storyline. Those issues are dealt with (as I thought they had been for a long while) so Tom will be a little easier to play now. Sorry for the extra added angst and pain, by the way - I was caught by surprise by this.

And now for the funny Milliways moments:

We passed a boat called "More Rum". Soon followed by a sign for Happy Jack Road.

Moiraine perked up during a Dead Can Dance cd and claimed a song. So now I'm on a mission to find more Moiraine songs for her own mix cd.

There are lots and lots of white horses in Wyoming and Utah. We counted 20. On the way there, Tom winced and cried every single time evil M-mun slyly pointed one out. Did I mention she was evil? (She is.) And we saw five - five -while "Fragile"(one of my first Tom/Door songs) by NIN played.

As we drove through Provo Canyon, we saw a sign for Aspen Grove (M-mun's on-line name is Aspen.) The next sign was for Vivian Park (my on-line name is Vivien.) We thought this highly amusing. And we got pictures.

In Utah, there are more apple trees than you can shake a stick at. There was one in our friend's front yard. We also passed an apple orchard that was right beside a cherry orchard.

At a book store, we were looking at this really cool dragon book when the Harry Potter theme came over the sound system.

We talked Milliways so much that we lured one of our friends into our sordid world, and we got to watch last night as she started her first thread. We were so proud. Our other friend said I should be charged with possession with intention to distribute, since I was the first one to find M'ways in our crowd. Muahahaha...

So we're back safe and so glad to be back at Milliways :)
