E-Mail? What E-Mail?
I just got this marvelous e-mail from our IT department:
"We have seen a dramatic increase in the use of Web-Based E-mail (GMail, Yahoo! Mail, Hotmail, etc.) that seems to be negatively impacting on Internet performance. For the immediate future, we will be block all web-based e-mail between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:30 PM."
This means that any threads I have in slowtime will have to stay in slowtime during those hours since I will not be getting notifications. (I will go back to what I used to do with new threads and just keep refreshing.) I will try to set slowtimes for notification through LJ since I think might still work, but otherwise playing at work just got a bit harder (until they fix this policy).
ETA: Now I can check web-based e-mail till 10 am, between 12:30 and 1 :30 pm, and after 4:30 pm. So that should help a bit.
