Summaries of events over the past few days.

Two threadzillae, and minor plot matters as well. (I swear these things multiply.) Cut-tagged by topic, for the sake of us all.

A conversation with Regulus, and how Desire offended the bar.
Still reeling in the aftermath of Sirius and Kassandra's departure, Regulus comes over to talk with Moiraine. (He still has trouble calling her by her name instead of "my lady," and he is still constantly receiving muffins from the bar.) Having discussed the matter with Dream previously, Moiraine realizes that Reg is not dealing well, and also manages to pinpoint the problem. She attempts to be comforting and reminds him of some of the good things, and Regulus begins to perk up and smile a bit. He also manages to delicately inquire about Morpheus, and Moiraine admits that she is pleased at their companionship.

With exquisite timing, Desire walks up to the table. Invited to join, it sits down next to Reg, behaving in a fairly restrained manner for Desire. Moiraine and Desire trade a few words on the subject of karaoke, and then Desire goes off to get drinks. (And in another thread, Desire runs into Despair.)

Moiraine and Regulus discuss happiness, involvement with the Endless, and muffins, before Reg notices Despair. He does not react well at all, and Moiraine quickly tries to distract him from dark thoughts, with some success.

(Back in that other thread, Desire drops a tray of drinks. Deliberately. It's going to regret that.)

Reg and Moiraine consider getting involved in the family quarrel, and decide, thankfully, that it would be a really bad idea. They talk instead about how to remain composed under stress, and soon afterwards Desire returns to the table with a new tray of drinks, including a Blue Dragon for Moiraine (which amuses the mun beyond words).
Desire is worried about what Regulus is thinking, and unfortunately doesn't pay much attention to its own drink. This turns out to be a mistake, and Desire spends the next little while coughing and choking, while Reg is helpful. Moiraine tries getting another drink for Desire, but the bar doesn't give her the wine she requested, apparently preferring that Desire receive a blatant insult instead. Oops.

Conversation soon turns to Desire's encounter with its twin, and it quickly becomes apparent that Desire has spent some recent time in Despair's realm, which upsets Regulus. Soon afterward, Moiraine quietly withdraws, and Desire and Reg continue their conversation elsewhere.

Jane Drew, Will Stanton, and Rand al'Thor.
The next evening, Jane shows up and comes to sit with Moiraine, who is one of the only people she knows. They discuss paradoxes, Will Stanton, and Morpheus and the dream quest before Jane decides that she needs to go back upstairs and take all of this in. Moiraine does not, however, reveal Will's nature as an Old One.

Shortly afterwards, Will shows up and comments on Moiraine's blue drink. Before she has the chance to mention meeting Jane, Rand also arrives, and is introduced to Will, who asks how things are at home. This annoys Rand slightly, as he doesn't like thinking that secrets are being discussed, but Moiraine points out that Will is a trusted friend and Rand acquiesces. They talk of matters at home, with Will a silent observer, until Rand manages to say something that worries Moiraine. Given her concern and a request she had made of him previously, Will decides to take a closer look into Rand's mind, while Moiraine and Rand continue to discuss things.

Will finds something. Rand has a voice inside his head, one that is not sane. When he tells Moiraine, it turns out that she is not surprised, but had hoped that Will would be able to tell her more. They talk about the voice -- Lews Therin -- and Moiraine calmly informs Will of the significance of this particular person. (Oh, and that Lews Therin wants her dead.) Will offers to keep watch, Moiraine accepts, and they discuss WoT history briefly before calling it a night.

Of Tea and Lemonade, Families and Friends: Yrael, Scott, Inigo, Will, and Peter.
It started out as a quiet evening, until Yrael shows up. After some confusion, he and Moiraine realize that they did, in fact, know each other. Yrael catches her up on events from his world, and Moiraine welcomes him home.

Will arrives, and is welcomed to the table, shortly followed by Inigo. Inigo is suspicious of the stranger at first, but then relaxes upon being assured by both Will and Moiraine that Yrael is a friend. Moiraine offers tea, and Inigo is horrified at once again being confronted with scary brown leaves in water, so he refuses, claiming that he's celebrating instead. There's been a sighting of the six-fingered man, and Inigo is overjoyed that he may soon have the chance to kill him. Moiraine is mildly concerned, and suggests that Inigo first, not get himself killed, and second, that he should think about what to do with his life afterwards.

Meanwhile, Yrael is tormenting Will, first with names, then with magical pink lemonade, which Will is understandably very hesitant to drink. (They go back and forth about that for a while, before finally resolving the matter in another thread -- Svava's thread.) Pink lemonade, like tea, turns out to be another drink that confuses Inigo, and there is a discussion of why the bar might prefer pink. The guys decide it's because the bar is female, and Inigo is distrustful of such an idea. Moiraine points out that it's a bad idea to offend the bar, and Inigo quickly tries to show it honor by offering to duel on its behalf. Unfortunately he then manages to stick his foot in his mouth by commenting on the confusing nature of women. Moiraine does not particularly appreciate this, and Inigo eventually catches on before landing too deeply in trouble.

Scott Tracy arrives, and is introduced around to everyone. Moiraine pours tea and asks after his family, and they talk of practical jokes for a bit. Will and Scott discuss the rescuing business and families, and particularly brothers -- these two seem to have a few things in common.

Will asks how Moiraine has been, and she mentions having met Jane. Will gets rather nervous for a moment before realizing that the Aes Sedai has been discreet and not revealed his secret. They have an oblique discussion about the memory modification Jane has undergone, talking about what may and may not be known at Milliways and back in Will's world. As with so many things for these two, it all comes down to what's necessary for the cause of Light.

Somewhere in here (timewise) Yrael leaves, and Peter arrives and is also introduced to Scott (who leaves soon afterwards, back in his thread with Will). Upon being asked by Inigo how Liz is doing, Peter announces that she's not only fine, she's picked up a new skill -- and proudly shows off the ring Liz created from a dream.
Inigo is impressed, and comments politely before departing.

Will and Moiraine are rather startled at Liz's new talent, and both quickly inquire about the state of Liz's link to Morpheus. Peter assures them that all is well, or at least better, and asks if they have noticed any unusual connections between those who went on the dream quest.
Moiraine and Will both seem to think that there's nothing magical involved, only the closeness of good friends, and Peter is relieved.

The Wheel of Time turns: Rand, Mat, and Moiraine.
Finally, all three of those at Milliways from this world manage to be in the same place at the same time, and the world does not explode. Yet. ;) Rand finds Moiraine at the bar, and Mat looks over from a nearby table at the sound of Rand's voice.

The two men catch up on events for a bit while Moiraine observes, quietly but intently. It soon becomes apparent that Rand and Mat are not from the same timeframe, which is fairly confusing. Moiraine brings up Peter's paradox theory as an explanation; Rand is concerned that perhaps he shouldn't say anything else, and Mat points out that others have already been talking to him, so what does it matter? They discuss current events further, until Mat, ever distrustful of Aes Sedai, is particularly uncomplimentary in general, and Moiraine becomes a bit annoyed. Rand takes this opportunity to slip out.

Mat promptly insults Moiraine specifically, and they trade barbed comments for a bit before Mat uses some newly-acquired information to mock Moiraine's closeness to Morpheus. She is very far from amused, and suggests that he might be a fool. A few more insults are traded before Moiraine declares that she's had enough of Mat's company and goes back upstairs, leaving him to ill-wish her as she departs.

Whew. That's it, for now. I am dead of summary. :)
