Hi, Milliways! Guest host Mandas here. How's your Thursday, so far? Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is the following:

You know when you're sitting around a campfire, or on a long trip, and you get to telling anecdotes or playing Truth or Dare? These stories that come out tend to be sweet, sentimental, or best of all, hilarious. I'd like to hear some of your pups' stories that they wouldn't necessarily tell to anyone except the closest of friends. The more embarrassingly hilarious, the better! You don't have to go into detail, but it'd be great if you do.

In other news, KotOR/Star Wars muns: The KotOR MMO, Star Wars: The Old Republic, has officially been announced. GameSpot has a pretty good writeup on it. The question is whether it'll stand up to the series. The screens have me a little worried, honestly; it looks like they tried to fit the cartoony style of the latest movie into the game. Yeeeah.

Eric's: "So yeah, when we buried my best friend? I hung out at the gravesite with his girlfriend. And then we made out. On the grave."

"Oh and later, I got her pregnant, and when she told me, I ran out on her."

Ironically, he does actually feel pretty bad about that. But he also thinks it was the right thing to do...

My Thursday (it's quarter to midnight, it's still Thursday) meant a seven hour shift at a fast food place in a mall during lunch time with only two people serving, one of them me. My brain, she is fried.

Which sucks, as, oh my gosh my pups have done crazy shit. And I can't remember any of them. Also, my brain has been caught up in AU!Sam&Meda!Matrix thing, and just throws out random binary at me.

But, hmm.

*thinks*

Medusa and her two triplets, back in the days when she just had curls and was this gorgeously pretty thing all the boys wanted to marry, were in Atlantis. They had Atlantean for the first time. They were also teenage girls with wings.

Their father still has nightmares about that.

No, because he still has that whole 'hit a 14 year old with a bus' thing, as well as 'made up psychological trauma to mess with a psychiatrist's head' things...

He's the Irredeemable Ant-Man for a reason.

Oooh. This is difficult.

*considers*

I feel like Plourr's (SHUT UP FIREFOX, THAT IS A WORD) would be anything remotely sappy and/or sentimental that she's ever done. So basically a couple of stories related to husband-and-child (see: hilariously yearny icon). Otherwise, she -- really doesn't have much in the way of a sense of shame; not for the non-traumatic stuff, anyway! She's got plenty of canonical shame for the angsty stuff, but nobody really wants to hear about fractricide while sitting around the campfire playing truth or dare. XD

Older-Tycho Does Not Speak of the time he and Wedge got really plastered, played zoneball, and had to be picked up off the floor by their long-suffering girlfriends, while they were still roaring zoneball fight songs. (Well, he'll talk about it with Wedge.) It would be a good truth or dare story! Reset young-Tycho would find it hilarious.

I'm not sure what Rhodey's truth would be, but it probably doesn't have anything to do with spring break 1987 or anyone named Ivan.

Another seven hour shift! Another day of being short staffed! *laughs hollowly and clings to the computer* I think I might have to call Saturday a mental health day and just lounge around home and watch movies and sleep in. And hopefully finish "Do Programs Dream of Binary Sheep".

*grins* Not really, no.

Also, I think the way Esfir ended up being asked out by her now ex-fiance involved something about her being barefoot, in a short, very pale-coloured summer dress, soaking wet and locked out of her car, and having to ask someone she'd met a couple of times at a friend's if he possibly knew how to pick locks.

Joke being that Vasya is KGB, of course.

...I am giggling at Tycho and Wedge and this mental image.

Hahaha. I appreciate the diplomacy. But this is a man who shrunk down to sit on Miss Marvel's showerhead.

There is no way to make him look truly good. Heheh.

I don't think I have ever laughed so hard while writing a thread. *hunts*

Bwahaha, got it.

... I forgot how undignified this was. *gleeful*

"K, so, I know that it might seem kinda spun that folk are still making noise about the tallest buildings and toy like that given all our buildings are taller than the kind you got back in your time. But folk are folk, right? And it's a mat of pride that the tallest manmade point in the world is still in Haddyn. Called the Needle, it's right up above the smog and light, and from the viewing platform, you can see the stars.

"Course, access for tourists is more credit than I've ever seen in my life. And the security's the toughest in all of Haddyn, so they say.

"So I'm - we're thirteen, me 'n Harth, and he's got it in his head to see the stars. He's a total dork, really. But I get word of some stuff, buy a couple of secrurity scramblers under Erin's nose, and a couple rebreather's, cause the air up there's worse than the UV.

"And I climb up the Needle. Tallest building in the whole rutting world and I climbed up the outside with my twin brother on my back. And the spun part? I ever breathed word of this back in Haddyn I'd be sold to the laws 'fore I could finish the story. They still think the security breach that night was the 'Stans."

They've got the official website (http://www.starwarstheoldrepublic.com/) up too. I do not how to feel about this idea of an KotOR MMO, I'd have much prefered just another sequel in the series, making a nice trilogy of it. And if I want MMO, I play WoW. lol

And I'm way too uncreative (and sunburnt) this morning to attempt the campfire thing.

"ATTENSHUN MI'WAYS BAR! TYCHO CELCHU OF TH'ROGUE SQUADRON IS BUTTLESS!"

*possibly cracking the fuck up* I haven't read this thread in years.

The ironic thing is that towards the end of his 12 issue run, Eric was developing some real depth and pathos.

And then he got moved to Avengers: The Initiative, and became the Poor Man's Deadpool.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooot particularly, no. And if she tells anyone that story, that's it. They are friends for LIFE. If nothing else, she'd have to kill them so they wouldn't tell anyone else.
