Sunday Indulgences!
Come on down and show us your awesome! (Or someone else's, if you feel so inclined; it's been a while since the more usual sort of thread promotion.)

One of my own: The Three Muttsketeers. (http://community.livejournal.com/milliways_bar/21857664.html)
And someone else's: Chirp. (http://community.livejournal.com/milliways_bar/21836145.html)

I only tossed Moist in on the fun this year, and it got a hell of a lot more interesting than I expected. Granted, there was really only one option he would take, all things considered. (And in that thread, Coreen helped him realise there is some badass potential to excess moisture.)
On day two, he talked to Annabelle the temporary Nova, and what both character and narration thought would be a fairly cut-and-dry decision got a lot more complicated, partly thanks to Doc. That's about the time I realised I had no idea what he was going to do, and declared it awesome.
So there was an OOM-of-sorts of much dithering, and then solo bartending. Toward the end of the thread with Archy (SO MANY HEARTS, JENNA), I figured out what it was he was going to decide.
It may not be the ideal solution, but there's always possibly next year, for that.
He's also chillin' at Liz's bartending.

Izzie and Cal flirt (http://community.livejournal.com/milliways_bar/21825304.html?thread=958607384#t958607384) and are just generally awesome.
Saffron's actually honest (http://community.livejournal.com/milliways_bar/21816202.html?thread=958147722#t958147722) for once in her life. (We think.)
Thirteen makes a choice for Cubefall, and Cuddy follows suit. (http://community.livejournal.com/milliways_bar/21826956.html?thread=958733196#t958733196)
And: I finally intro'd a new pup (http://community.livejournal.com/milliways_bar/21862340.html)! (Read: everyone should tag her.)

Baby gets a mobile for Cubefall, featuring Ray Stantz, Bar, Mikey, and Richard Ryan. I have been planning this since very shortly after last Cubefall, and I am so delighted with it. In fact, it would probably be the highlight of my week, if not for:
This. John's Giant Plot of Awesome. I am ... giddy, I think the word is ... about this one. (Also, for those of you who flailed at us last night about YOU CAN'T LEAVE US HANGING THERE, you might be interested in this morning's posts. *serene*)

(I'm fairly sure I caught every L'Engle reference, not to mention the sparkly unicorn bits, but what is "Think of all the fun we could have finding out" from?)

I am STILL FLAILING.

First, X-23 shows Liz her pictures from her birthday party, then Liz sees Laura off to prom, then Cal and Liz, from bartending, spot just how Laura's prom went.
Through no fault of Cal's, last thread is slightly less adorable than the others. D:
(Other two favorites: Sam Winchester and Liz Sherman, bartenders extraordinaire, and Liz has some differences of opinion with the Devil. OKAY I'M DONE I SWEAR.)

Stuff like the prom dress shopping and Liz and Cal's reactions are part of what makes these plots worth doing--something that has roots in the game, and not just fic. Sometimes those roots are old--it's incredible how one of Anthy's thread from the Academy plot ended up foreshadowing a major plot point here--but some of them are really fresh and new.
This goes beyond this thread and all the way back to the people who tagged Susannah when I first brought her back from semi-retirement seventeen months ago. This plot has been in the working ever since, inch by inch and nail by nail, and everyone who has threaded, read, or just listened to me run off at the mouth has been a part of it.
Special thanks go to Viv, for bringing Bela's thievery into play, and Adiva for bringing Charles Wallace in for a short but amazing role; Batya, for talking DT mythology ENDLESSLY with me, Rym for beta-ing several key threads in Rose's development, to Sweeney, my partner in crime lo these many years, and to all the people who helped me keep my head together when RL went seriously off the tracks.
(I also really appreciate the people who have and continue to play around with me in the alternate future for Susannah's descendants; it's really helped me clarify my thoughts about Rose in particular and American gunslingers in general, and been a lot of fun to boot.)
A lot has changed for me in the last year and a half, but I've told my story to the end, and that's something. I've never sunk this much time and effort and planning into anything, and I feel like it's really paid off. Thank you, Milliways. :D

And this one, wherein Demeter and Ramon are once again of the same mind as to how to spend a few free hours. These two are ridiculously easy.

I was trying to extend my thanks out beyond the immediate circle of people who co-wrote with me, since they should know they're awesome, but in retrospect it just seems like I'm an asshole, so *clarifies*!

Weyland's aircraft's egg is about to hatch, and poor semi-kidnapped Kate Barlow is getting a front-row seat for the zOMGWTF that will ensue.

I'd link it, but am still in the process of trying to get my computer to OBEY, but suffice it to say that if this week is anything like last week? You'll be hearing about it next Sunday too.
