Jack hasn't been Bound for a while, but he's trying to stop being such a coward and go back out. He hasn't quite convinced himself yet. Though that's also because he's been worried about both Carl Benton and Kate BEckett, and he can't leave until he finds out that Beckett's serial killer has been caught and she's safe.

At the moment he's just trying not to go completely insane waiting for news when he can't do anything to help the situation.
