Quick question for those in the know, probably the mods - anyone got a clue how many pups there are without tags currently? LJ has upped the tag limit to 4000 for paid and permanent accounts so if there's less than 3000 pups without them, I would totally be willing to donate for a few months paid time if it meant we all got a tag from it.

ETA: AHAHA, thank you very much to the anonymous person who just sent me 500 tokens! Paid time for the bar coming right up. :DD

ETA II: Right, done. Milliways is now paid for. Uhh...OK, so now I feel cheeky as hell for having gone ahead and done this. I hope no one minds?

Thanks again to the anonymous gifter and I'll add another two months time after I've got my little 'un up from her nap. Can I suggest we PLEASE hold off on adding loads of pups until the mods decide how many we can go with, etc? In fact, I will say that again because I really don't want to get in trouble - PLEASE do not add tons of pups until a mod says its OK.

I was just about to email folks to ask the same thing! *g* So while I'm equally clueless re: the current Milliways tag situation, I'd totally be willing to chip in a bit of cash if it'd help, too.

I was also wondering if it would be like before they lowered it - everyone gets a tag and then keeps them, regardless of if the paid time ran out or not. Only one way to find that out, I suppose. But either way, a few bucks every couple of months isn't such a big price, I reckon.

Or we could all just chip in a couple of dollars (if we're able) and get a permanent account. I don't know how much that is, but we could make it a goal and save up until we reach it? I don't know how that stuff works, but it seems the best solution. If someone knows how to set something like that up (paypal, maybe?) I'd be willing to donate a few bucks.

Works as a plan for me! Permanent accounts are about $150, right? Seems doable especially as it's not like there's any rush about it.

Is there a permanent account sale currently happening?

Anyway, the community currently has 1379 member jounrals. I'm convinced that's enough for all active pups to have a tag in bar - although I have no idea how retired pups play into that.

Not that I know of! Are they more than that? The last I heard of them, I thought they were around that price but it's just a guess on my part.

Well, maybe we could get a year's paid time or something, or chip at the total in readiness for the next time they do a sale. *handwavey* I haven't really thought it through, I was just wondering if buying paid time would be useful for everyone to have tags.

I think it definitely would be, yep!

And if the store hasn't changed, multiple people buying paid time will just extend the length of time that paid time runs So just 6 people spending $5 on 2 months --> one year of complete tags.

In Detroit and mostly out of commission, but wanted to comment as having seen and will be doing the modly email circulation thing we do to see what if anything is up.

Plot tags might be helpful as well -- if somebody runs a plot, they could apply for a tag with the mods?
