The Tale of the Roses
So. Someone had to summarise the Rose Saga; it may as well be me. Since I, y'know, started it all.
Lochiel gives Meg a silver-white lily, after talking about the nature of good and evil and boys.
During the night, the lily transforms into a rose, which is now dubbed Foo-foo. This can be explained away by the wonkiness of Lochiel's magic. Anthy is in turns surprised and displeased about said rose. SOme time later, Anthy develops a hatred for Foo-foo, and there is much innuendo about Meg, Utena and melons.
Anthy burninates Foo-foo.
Later, Anthy and Lochiel talk, about death and such. Both spectacularly fail to be impressed by the other.
Meg and Anthy have a thread full of innuendo about deflowering and melons. And calling Thom Tiny Evil.
Lochiel does a spell for Alanna, and his magic starts visibly going wrong. The crack on Lochiel-mun's part starts here.
The following conversation causes Lochiel-mun to die in the brain, and begins the madness that is the Infestation of Roses.
Thus begins the thread in which Lochiel-mun is stupid: Thom informs Lochiel that his rose attacks other plants. One of the roses bites Thom. They discuss rose evolution, and discover that the roses drink blood. There is talk of resurrecting Foo-foo.
Lochiel and Mordred talk about boredom, siblings, fathers and bastardy, and Lochiel gives Mordred one of the black roses.
Lochiel creates a golden-cannibal-rose-firing rifle for Todd.
A rose stalks Anthy, and they become friends, because it purrs. During conversation in strikeouts, the roses evolve into Sentient Evil Elven Vampire Roses. Lochiel-mun and Esme-mun fangeek about Discworld, and plot NaNoWriMo stories about Evil Sentient Elven Vampire Roses of Many Colours.
While Meg and Mordred talk, Foo-foo and Benilda plot. Plotting what is unclear.
In the same thread, Meg thinks the sentient rose is cute. The Ginevra-rose refuses to ally with Foo-foo, and then there is Lochiel angst which shan't be linked to, as it has no point in the Rose Saga.
Anthy's rose is named Paul, but I can't for the life of me find the thread in which this was decided.
A thread follows in which Paul and Ginevra bond. Of sorts.
I bow to Joe-mun's superior summarising skills and link to his summary of the Emergency Potato vs. Vampiric Rose thread.
Meg and Joe discuss the Potato/Rose battle and Anthy, and Juliet-the-white-rose becomes enamoured with Incase the Emergency Potato. At this point, Lochiel-mun's mind breaks.
Anthy is upset because security won't give Paul back, and Juliet claims to be the angstiest being ever. A lot of pseduo-psychobabble ensues, with Juliet angsting and threats being made against Incase.
The Evil Purple and Silver Sentient Elven Vampire Rose Who Does Not Technically Exist comforts Juliet, who is woeful about her relationship with Incase. Typing that sentence makes my brain break yet again. The possibility of Sentient Vampire Halfelven babies called Elrond is discussed.
Lochiel gives Granny a rose, for no particular reason but that the mun wanted it.
There is gropage of Meg by Nessarose, who is trying to find a way to free Juliet from the clutches of the Steel Cloak Pin.
Nessarose goes batshit on Apropos's staff, due to the owner of said staff standing on Esme's foot. Resolution: not reached thus far.
Incase is a ghost potato. During this thread, he becomes a ghost^2, and is smited by the Death of Potatoes, ceasing to have ever existed. There is much woe.
Apparently, Nessa eats purple ketchup, which is, according to Death, most likely something created by Delirium. Elsewhere, Raph spills Jack on the bar, and Nessa takes the first steps towards alcoholism - drinking spilled Jack off the bar. Later, Nessa makes friends with Ember, and proves itself to be a lush.
Nessa has a Plot. Again, the details of said Plot are unclear. Possibly because said thread is still in the works.
Anthy-mun has information about the roses here, should anyone be interested.
I may have missed things; I honestly have no idea how many threads have been infected by the roses. *dead*
