live from the *~wilderness~* of lake cumberland, it's sunday, sunday, SUNDAY. tell us 'bout your fantastic self; shenanigans not only welcome, but also mandatory.
BEHOLD, my au_bigbang story is UP. My longest fic to date, and getting a decent amount of attention for being a small pairing in a smallish fandom.
Threadwise, Apollo hosted Haiku Happy Hour (I know I owe tags here; hopefully after ALL THE WORK today I can get to some of those!); meanwhile, in MM, I've been playing around with my AU up there, and I doubt this'll be the last time.
Been play-testing Howard Stark (Captain America) at Mixed Muses, with this thread a good example of what I might do with him. It's looking good I will actually do an app.
Finished this scene with Rachel and X-23 yesterday! These girls remain the oddly cutest pair ever.
Otherwise, my achievements include "not throwing up" and "not actually dead yet." Trying to focus on those wins instead of the "are you freaking serious, I did not need one more symptom" fail of this morning.
This week, I'm still in the land of "can't seem to finish anything." Even though I did technically finish some things that were started before this week.
Sunshine hovered and fussed over a drunk and bruised Thirteen (http://milliways-bar.livejournal.com/24192011.html?thread=1092638731#t1092638731), and they talk about how much of their time is spent with one of them doing that for the other.
Yrael and Ace and unknown alien tech (http://milliways-bar.livejournal.com/24202238.html?thread=1093423870#t1093423870) prove to be a recipe for shenanigans. :D
In the ongoing category:
Yrael meets newcomer Silas (http://milliways-bar.livejournal.com/24197919.html?thread=1093110815#t1093110815), and they actually get along rather well together, so far.
Also, Sunshine meets Apollo (http://milliways-bar.livejournal.com/24202586.html?thread=1093455962#t1093455962) at happy hour, though currently she's kind of weirded out by learning this guy who looks younger than her is apparently centuries old. >_>
Oh good golly. I posted Leonardo da Vinci into Mixed Muses and wracked up over 300 comments on one post. And got half of chat watching achronistic kids BBC shows.
Machiavelli also made a appearance, and I have the problem of my favourite character being (slightly) less fun to play. I STILL CAN'T PICK.
Am I allowed to pimp my dad's awesome? Because I'm totally going to do that instead of my own.
Dad has known that I have lacked a good computer for about a year and saving up for one hasn't been going so well, either because of my "temporary retirement" or because getting a job just increased the chances of Sis fooling around with our money. Dad is also a very generous man and a week ago today, he told me, "How much do you need for a new computer? I'll give you a loan."*
And I'm typing on my new laptop right now.
WHY IS MY DAD SO AWESOME?! I CAN BARELY EVEN GRASP THIS, WHAT? MONEY WILL NEVER BE ENOUGH TO PAY HIM BACK!
*He denies being generous because of the fact that this is a loan. It doesn't even matter to me that I'm going to pay it all back. It was very generous of him to offer me the loan in the first place.
Ack! True. The only solution then is to badge someone into play the other.
I will now state preemptively, that I have not been able to turn up a streamable site for the show so far and I have been banned from the use of bittorrent.
I posted pups into the bar, which for me lately seems to be something of an accomplishment. And I've launched a new pup. (I'm still not entirely sure that she won't be a complete disaster, but I've launched her!)
I had epic awesome fail this week but I made cinnamon pancakes this morning and they we delicious! SO delicious in fact they did not need syrup. I think next time I'm going to add banana or apple to the batter.

Guess I have stick with MM then. Too bad. But it does free me from continuity.

Or play both. The more I see of these two the more I am surprised they don't burst into flame from the paradoxes and anachronisms, but who cares?
Leonardo da Vinci and Machiavelli for the win!

Also, Alex is talking to an adult about his problems after only a month in the bar. I am so proud of him. :')

A Dreaming post is up in Mixed Muses and makes me happy, this is still open.
Also over there Sam and Leonardo got on amazingly well as having a fellow genius to talk to is wonderful.
There was an Australian Adventure, writing these threads had me laughing so much it hurt.
I had Jane in again as I love playing her.
William has some more follow up to the Australian Adventure, this one's still open.

Not that an animated Thor wouldn't be awesome. Or a Hank.

And, hrm, that'd get confusing real quick. Sadly.
