I'll answer for my pups as work is being busy but not complicated. Lots of students want to find where their textbooks are and so I show them how to use the catalog. I like being an academic reference librarian but its more of a job, being a children's librarian is my hope for a career.

Will defines himself by what he does and his place in life as that's how his time works. He's Robin Hood's squire and an outlaw and a peasant, those three things define his life.

Sameth is another one where his role was proscribed early on, for him its due to his bloodline. So its hard for him to imagine being anything other than Abhornsen-in-Waiting even though it doesn't suit him. Canon will deal with this but not with the fallout of the changes. That's something I need to fix. In Milliways, he works in the forge, filling commissions and making his own projects which he loves. He does have a workshop in Belisaere but he mainly only makes his own things or things for his sister there. He loves the environment of the forge and working with Teja as he learned to make things in the forge of Belisaere.

Moist puts on occupations like he does suits, it changes depending on who he's being today and if being a conman is a career, its one that suits him terribly well. Though its the kind of thing he fell into and then discovered he liked it due to the freedom and the rush of adrenaline.

Demeter is a goddess so who she is defines what she does, which makes things simple. Though the warning is that the gods may listen but be careful what you ask for as you may get it.

William runs his family ranch and he can't think of doing anything else, he does sometimes wonder if other things might be possible. He thinks he might like to try being a lawman someday, but that would be while still running the ranch. The family land and his family comes first to everything else.

Jane is an author, she might not be published yet but that's what she considers herself. Sadly that's not terribly acceptable for her time and she would like to be a wife and an author. That will be trickier.

Tumnus is an advisor to the kings and queens of Narnia and its not what he pictured himself doing as a young faun but it suits him. He's also writing a history of Narnia but considers that a hobby.

The Pirate King is defined and shaped by what he is and his ship seems like it must be fairly enjoyable.
