Belated Daily Entertainment

As we don't have a Daily Entertainment up yet, I thought I'd write one. This week doesn't seem to be starting off well for a number of people and I hope things improve.

I love all the plotting posts around the move, it's giving me ideas. Let's use this post to talk about plans and ideas, new characters that excite you, new ways to approach current characters and think of it as the forward looking match to my Weekend Entertainment post.

For myself, I'm hopefully going to use the Allpocalypse to push Sameth forward in time and wave goodbye to his canon. As I love it but it's been tricky moving it, but this way, there can be parts of it mixed in with Milliways' excitement. In preparation, I've been trying out a Sam from further in his time and after some plot with Kait in the sandboxes.

So what are you thinking about? And little edit as I shouldn't try to spell Allpocalypse until I've had my tea.

The thought of using the Allpocolyps plot as the spring board to push Thalia back to canon just hit me and OMG I love it. It'd be a perfect way to leave things hanging between her and William and make things all sorts of awkward. Sound good or is it too mean?

I am thinking about how much Kait's canon actually annoys me, and that I'm looking forward to taking the opportunity to jumping to her MASSIVE METAPHYSICAL FIGHT IN THE VOID, where there will be an explosion so I can toss her out into M'ways and sever all ties to her world. Yay. No more stupid rapist soulmate for her. Just...

All the PTSD.

you guys you guys you guys I may have talked Quin into coming back post-move after all. :D :D :D Likely some amount of Potterverse (it'd depend on whether some long-retired characters stay retired or get freed up, and also whether someone else snaps them up before we get the ball rolling), though she did briefly toy with the Greek-gods idea. I WOULD BE SO EXCITE.

Other than that:

Plot With Rocks In 2.0 will be a go sometime post-move, for great crackonful yay (and creepy bluetext). I already know what song I'm going to use for the lead-in this time through.

After Leesha ditched LJ and dropped Artie, I considered playing with that with Claudia, but then the move talk started and I decided to wait until after the move to do that. Basically, there was this whole thing where Mrs. Frederick had Artie keeping an eye on Milliways in case Trouble Happened, and since he can't get in anymore, Claudia's going to get the dubious honor of that assignment.
Sometime post-move we're also likely getting an HG, which means we can sit down and figure out what the hell to do that isn't "Reset," since I'm pretty sure none of the three of us actually like that.
I'll also probably try advertising post-move and see if I can reel in a Jack to my Rebecca. I want to play her so bad, but I basically can't without him.

Otherwise: Cata and Medic were going to have Shenanigans in her world, but then LJ had Shenanigans first, and at this point I think that'll be happening post-move. That's going to be loads of fun, but then, most anything they do is.

Yay! Skipping bad canons is always a good choice and she'll have Sam for holding.

Yay! All of these are so exciting. I love how old players are finding their way back.

She'll be, oh, PTSDy, and post-relationship that was at the very least emotionally abusive, so there'll need to be recovery-time, but yes. This. I look forward to it!

For now, I'm just find pictures of her PB for new icons, given I'll be jumping her from 17 to 21.

We also should figure out if we want to have them going through their break up in the midst of her canon or not. If we want to, we could have it as an OOM that happens right after the move, so they both get pushed ahead, reconnect and break apart. Then reconnect again after the end of her canon and I could give him another push forward in time.

I'm not sure if this is making sense, canons are confusing but we will get them back.

It makes sense! I am just not sure if it'll work or not any more - particularly if the comm is moving at the end of January. But! I'll talk to you on the weekend.

And yes, we will get them back, we will.

It will help when we have a set date on this end of plot and moving as that's still up in the air.

Also conversations with Ellimere along the lines of no, he's an idiot, my brother is too, but he's our idiot.

And Sam has his faults, but he's no Ry, that's for damn sure.

Yeah, Ry brings together many forms of horrible in one package.

Fluttershy and Kain are probably going to be not very involved, although either or both might accidentally switch worlds with someone. That could be iiinteresting.

Felix, though, is in the middle of a plot that will culminate in having to decide whether to let a giant energy-sucking vortex have its way with a large part of his world, or use a device that the Ancients considered dangerous enough that they sealed away their source of magic so it couldn't be used, and that might not even work. And I'm considering having said device show up in the part 3 Allpocalypse shenanigans.

Meanwhile, what's definitely going to show up - probably via confused waitrat - are the Elemental Stars. Each of these is the crystallized form of his world's entire energy of one element, or near enough. In canon, they can't be safely carried except in bags woven from mythril wires, and are said to grant enough power that someone with just one of them could rule the world. From Felix's perspective, they were at least rendered powerless, and probably destroyed, when he used them to break the magic-seal ten years ago - but what's ten years from Milliways' perspective?

I am thinking about rebooting jack_inthegreen and bringing in an earlier version--less civilized and more wild. (Less Jack Green and more Herne, is how I'm looking at it.)

Tower will be involved in the cause, not the effect, which will be fun as well. All the mayhem he can cause along with the Fool, and Amascut, and some of the other more destructive forces at Milliways...

It'll be good doing something with him again.

I'm leaving the goddesses, Bridgette, and Donovan behind; but in the first apping cycle after the move, I'll bring Antinoos! I'd have apped him this month, I just didn't feel like making that entire journal etc. over here on icky old LJ just for a week or two.

I...don't really have any characters that could egg on the Allpocalypse. Well. I say that, but phonomancer could probably take a crack. I'm re-reading his canon though so...like the most of the rest of my characters, I'm going start getting him active after the move.

Also...thinking about what I can do with landlesslord - at the moment he's dead and post-season 3, which is pretty great but I think Guy was probably one of very few characters that got good plot and development in the Hoodie canon. So.. thoughts. Mostly "what if...?" thoughts,

I second the ooh with Herne aspect. I wonder if that would help me with Will at all, something to think on.

Yay for Antinoos, he's such an interesting character but the goddesses will be missed. Is Margolotta coming along?

I would love to share in what ifs I can help as I'm not sure where to go with Will's story. Stuff happens when he and Guy interact and I'd love more of that.

I hope getting Felix involved in the ending helps with what you do next with him. The stars sound like fascinating powerful objects to bring into Bar.

Oh yes, we will need her to needle Moist and Urq, after all! She's coming.

Good and I will figure out how to get Moist active again.

I might play with some time shifting for him over in one of the sandboxes and see if that helps. I know he's there, he's just being unhelpful.

Good thing Urq doesn't get emotions, so he won't miss Moist all that much; he'll just keep busy, and then enjoy it when Moist is back.

The dog is probably missing him, though.

Shifting him sounds interesting. You attempted it in that one short fic you did, and that angle seemed rather promising.

Heh, yeah - I'm leaning towards Guy remaining dead for the most part, because his story's done canon-wise...but then I start thinking about all the characters like Allan and Tuck who got shafted in canon...

And yeah. Mostly "what if...?"

Still pondering Robin from the Robin and Marian film though.

Robin Hood has so many variations, it provides some great what ifs.

I've been reading all of Marian and I'm missing the very beginning where I was playing with her mythos in her character, and not just her show. So interested to see what you'll do!

I'm going to use it as an excuse to finally push Illyria fully through the most recent round of comics canon. She gets her powers back, for one. And a puppy. Um. An octo-puppy. More importantly, it becomes actual canon for her to be nicer and more mellow, so I can do something with her besides endless too-literal snark.

I'm excited! I'd been putting it off because we had plot thought up for how to get to where she needs to be, but I think I may just incorporate it into part of this stuff instead.
