Man it has been too long since I posted anything in Sunday Indulgences.
But this week I am very happy to report that after a spell and a very strange journey ... Baby is back. :D :D :D That last thread is still taggable, if anyone wants to say hi to her!
Also: after a sort-of-fight with Karkat, Nepeta talks to Shephard and then to Karkat again, and has more or less come to terms with Karkat going off to fight hideous monsters without her.
Also also: both Simon Tam and Cordelia Vorkosigan help poor Felix Gaeta when he stumbles into Milliways straight from Galactica's sickbay. STUPID BSG CANON, WE HATES IT. ;_____;

It's been a busy week and a half in RP-land for me.
Sunshine had a bad day of being yelled at by her mother, which led to a really nice discussion with Balthazar about how parents (and pseudo-parental figures) show they're worried about someone. A few day later, she had a nice reunion with Ben Wade, which is currently slowtimed, stuck on her explaining to the outlaw what flip-flops are. *snickers*
Later, Rae met Ganymede, and tried to offer him some comfort.
But the culmination of Sunshine's week came at her Happy Hour shift on Friday. She had an enjoyable conversation with the Waco Kid about movies and the deficiencies of sliced bread, discussed how animals approached death (odd, I know) with Leela, talked enjoyable silliness with the Fool, and expressed disapproval of McCoy's plan for getting completely hammered.
...The main event, so to speak, of Happy Hour was the conversation with Finvarra, which goes from light banter, to a serious offer, to sudden conflict when Balthazar arrives, and kind of dissolves from there. Still ongoing!
Zelgadiss also had a fairly busy week and a half, meeting Merrick (with bonus unexpected offer of help!) and having an actual magical sparring match with Amascut Sarah. ^_^ A few days later, his research is interrupted by a small, purple, horse-thingTwilight Sparkle, who mildly surprises him by also offering to help him find his cure.
In comparison, Yrael's week was quiet, though he is glad to have met Merrick (despite the cruel awakening) and looks forward to the promise of future music (and fish).
Between work crazy and sickness I didn't do much. Advanced a few slows, started the next Fear Itself OOM (Ben's moment to shine! Even if EmoBen won't see it), plotted a few things for Val but mostly I just stalked the awesome this week. I did manage to finish an OOM thread with Renee and Kate and brought in Kate to play with a idea I had for a hobby of hers. Threads still open and I am in slowland but feel free to tag if you are curious.
Oh and Kate did tag into the Happy Hour yesterday and I am curious to see how she interacts with William and Michael but that will have to wait until tomorrow.
This week has been about amazing job stuff and forward momentum that I need to hold onto and use. So far its all possibilities and having people on my side but they make me happy. Now I just need to write statements, cover letters and make everything happen.
In terms of RP, I've been doing a number of different things, there are some OOMs which I can't share yet that make me happy.
To start off with getting a heartbreaking plot wrapped up. William had bad dreams then Ben and his father fixed things. I love being a part of this cast so much.
Charles had a rather huge EP. The threads that I loved for their surprising shifts were Wing for Knights and King Arthur, Claudia for rickrolling Charles with warning, Howard Stark for fellow Marvelness and a fic idea, while the others were interesting. Charles and Clark didn't quite work out as Clark made Charles incredibly curious.
Moist met a fellow denizen of the Disc and the narration in this amused me so.
I always adore Mary Bennet and it was lovely to thread her with Tumnus. Also I can't find the thread but Tumnus and Duck are meeting and he's telling her the story of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and it makes me beam.
William and Antinoos met and didn't fight. Also there was more Michael and William in Michael's Happy Hour, great thread, can't forget it.
Partly inspired by the adventures in the other Nottingham, I wrote an OOM for Will.
Dem and Gaeta broke my heart, while Jane finds her feet again, that EP is very much open.
Now in terms of fic things, most of what I've written has been scattered about this week. A comment fic of Hank/Raven on LJ for a friend and a start of a Hunger Games AU for Sameth. First one has warning for heavy make outs and the second major warnings for death and violence.
Dakin and Posner are on their way to Oxford in an OOM. Somehow this relationship is working!
I had two job interviews and finished a second draft of a novel, and got to spend a day with my baby nephew. He claps his hand if you tell him it's bath time. He kills me with cute!
Threading wise, Thirteen and Emma Swan became drinking buddies ans shared their social inatiquicies and equally rough lives.
Also, been working on an OOM to start bringing the DA2 canon a little forward. Finally. Oops?
In IRL news, I got into the Diablo III beta, but life and braindead-nes after work has prevented me from actually starting it up. I also found out that a couple friends of mine who are planning to move up to Canada with me (as in, moving in with me, I'm already Canadian), are already pretty eligable for a work permit to stay up here. Yay!
As Fi noted, Claudia Rickrolled Charles (mostly because he did ask what it was!). That relationship's development should be about as interesting as Claud and Tony, especially once he remembers to ask about her fixing a wormhole generator like it ain't no thing. (Still debating whether to do my April Fools' post; maybe in a bit when I have a little more brain to spare.) Also, Imp was around a bit! YAY.
Busy busy! School stuff, IRL as we wind down toward finals in a few weeks. My boys were sick last weekend and yeah... been pretty much retreating to RP to get a good dose of fun and it has not been lacking!
Gus hasn't noticed Shawn & Juliet's plotting yet, but he has gone against his better judgement and made a date with the devil that can't end well. (Warning: Mature content to be had there. His sin of choice? Lust.) Ultimately further leading toward breaking him away from his anxiety with women.
Michael has just been freaking busy. He got caught up in a kidnapping in Miami that was actually a setup, leading to walking into Milliways for a drink just a little bit unfit for much of anything else. Several drinks and a short walk later, he invited Emma up to his room for a perfectly casual drink that didn't exactly go as planned. Some cheap whiskey, awkward flirting, and a cold shower later he slept it off.
In addition, I'm poking at and worrying over applications for Henry Spencer sbpd_papabear and Archie Hopper stillsmallvoice until I get up the gall to suck it up and send them. Hah.
I have had the most fun ever outfitting the farfar_awaysprofile with a plethora of fun things for the burgeoning community. (Be on the lookout for a second discussion post on The Curse soon, too, covering Milliways Doors from my other half.)
I pushed Gaeta into the nextstretchofcanon. (And then I went and drank roughly my body weight in tea. ;_____;) There is some really amazing threadwork from my partners in crime going on in those posts, so huge props and lots of love to you awesome people. <3333
Other than that, I...finally got the beginnings of a windowsill garden going? All that's there right now is a rosemary plant and a daffodil bulb (the latter of which was struggling on account of my cat going OH BOY OH BOY BEST TOY EVER LET ME DIG THIS UP AND PLAY WITH IT WHENEVER YOU'RE NOT LOOKING :D :D :D), but I'm hoping to add basil and maybe thyme. Here's to hoping everything takes.

In fact, they're leaving now.
So... yeah, busy. <3
