There is a teenage girl in the training grounds out back, with the scorched remains of a training dummy.

"This is useless!" she declares to the world. "I need to train with a person!"

Sallie is out with Mal's horse, shamelessly bribing the animal with apples.

"What kind of training?" she calls.

You could always get them shot.

That's a really boring looking animal, she's got there. It looks like a.. horse horse. Or something.

Korra gives an exaggerated sigh.

"Bending," she says. Which obviously means this woman won't be any use to her.

Hunh.

"Bending people?"

What else is she supposed to assume?

Korra drops her hands to her side and raises one eyebrow, saying nothing.

What does that even mean?

Sallie's back to keeping one hand on Tequila.

Korra shakes her head, clearing it if all the weird people in this weird place. She smirks.

"You really don't know what bending is, do you?"

Sallie laughs as well, letting her forehead hit the horse's neck for a minute.

"I can't even keep track o' all the things I got no clue of, baobei."

"...They've redecorated since the last time I've been here," murmurs the not'cat in the doorway, curious. "...Whoever 'they' are."

"Because I just so happen to be a master at three different bending styles."

All these people that she keeps meeting, all with powers.

"Oh? And this works out to be lucky for me somehow?"

"Assuming you want a demonstration of the greatest fighting styles in the world?"

Korra brings a closed fist into her other hand in front of her, and bows to the older lady, a sign of respect and also of about to demonstrate sheer awesome.

And then the Phantom kicks the door in, pistols at the ready.

The last time someone bowed to Sallie they were angling for pie, so this should be good.

If there's pie, all of Korra's effort will be worth it.

"Allow me to present to you the ancient waterbending arts of my people."

When she starts, it becomes obvious that the ancient waterbending arts of her people involves lots of energetic, violence and appropriation of nearby lake water.

" - Sycamore wouldn't be a very good choice, I think. I'd have liked to try it, because that's what my wand is made of, and I could've tested a theory, but, if I trust what the wandmakers have to say, I don't think it'd be a very good broom for Quidditch. It could decide to go off on its own in the middle of match!

"But maybe I'm over thinking it too much? It's not as though anyone will be casting any spells with their broom, so the wood wouldn't have that magic to react against."

Scorpius pauses in his explanation to take a sip of Butterbeer - and for a breath!

"What do you think?" he asks soon after, looking at his company with wide-eyes.
