He'd never wanted that much with what he stole, the game itself was fun and he spent the money how he liked.

Sometimes he heard stories about criminals who saved up their money to buy something, to settle down and go straight. It had never made sense to him, his job was tricking people and enjoying the benefits. Life was better when he was out on the road without a clear idea of where he was going other than away.

Now though he was waiting to be hanged and all the work he did to collect that money was worthless.
