Funny thing is that most of my pups are well known without the Internet. Cyborg is world famous as a hero. Kirk is a media sensation of sorts for saving the world twice (that the public knows of) and for that first five year mission. Howard Stark is on the social pages often, in the business pages often, and most likely in Movietone News.
Knox isn't quite so well known but he has a newspaper column, which includes his photo. I guess one of his stories could get a lot of hits during the decade or so when his paper offers Internet content for free.
Charlie is more an urban legend than a famous hero, but blurry photos of The Question and the occasional video of him have been in circulation for years.
Which leaves Gibbs, in the 18th century. No internet, or fame, for him.
