 So, I followed an instruction on my computer to 'restart to install necessary changes' or whatever. I am clearly the most unimaginable fool, because now Windows won't load.

I've got backup instructions somewhere, but frankly, it's too late now to be fiddling with stuff I don't understand. So I'm letting the laptop cool its heels overnight, and will attack it after work tomorrow. As such, all threads are in slowtime until at least tomorrow evening, maybe a touch longer (if worst comes to the worst, I have a desktop in my will-freeze-digits-off bedroom, or will brave the nightmare of logging in and out on iPad. But not tonight).

This affects all threads with Gene, Javert and Bruce Wayne. Sorry, y'all.

Good luck with the computer. I know we don't have any threads but I thought it worth mentioning that you could always tag back via the email reply option if you don't mind the pups default icon being used or are very familiar with your icon list. I've a tablet myself and seriously wish there was a LJ juggler app.
