(no subject)

I've just been pondering, and I have to say that I reckon there are some excellent characters that it's a shame we don't have yet. Specifically I'm thinking

-The Dice Man
-Dr Iannis (sp?)- Captain Corelli's Mandolin
-Ignatious J. Reilly- Confederacy of Dunces.

Anyone else got any characters they'd like to see?

(This post gets put up periodically. I'm nothing if not repetetive. *g*)

-Davan, from SP. Cause. Davan!
-Jason, from SP. CAuse. Jason! (Actually, SP chars in general. For chaos! For snark! FOr illegal activities and twisted sorts of porn!)
-Giles. He can drink tea with Remus.
-Anakin Solo from Star Wars. HE CAN BOND WITH HIS GRANDFATHER! They can angst. ("Woe. I was named for you. I am strong in the Force and forever tempted by the Dark Side. YOU SCREWED UP MY LIFE!" "I angst. Add to my angst. I am good at the guilt.")

More characters from plays!! Like Manus or Owen from Translations.

I'd also love to see Phèdre more often, along with her Perfect Companion.

Eee, there are so many!

We need more webcomic-inspired characters. Or at least have the sinfest angels return.

Pseudolus! 'Cause A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum is sheer brilliance.
Also, just about anyone from Soap. Chuck and Bob would be particularly hilarious.
More Daria representation would of course be lovely.

We need more Hellsing characters ^.^ Anderson, Seras...Walter would be cool also.

Also, speaking as a geeky Yugioh fangirl - Pegasus(!) & Bakura.

off the top of my head:

Zachary Gray from the Madeleine L'Engle-verse, even if he does scare me. In fact, there are a ton of characters from those books who would fit in well at the bar.

More characters from Utena! Cause yay.

Monsieur Ananas from Telefrancais.

Tasuki! (Fushigi Yuugi.) Or maybe not.

Personally, I think we need someone from Phantom Tollbooth. Even though I so couldn't play them, Rhyme and Reason (-way- too innocent, for me to play man.... Val's a right devil compared to them....) should take residence in the bar. Hmmm. Selfishly, Mark would like to see another Rent character or two. Me, I'd like to see more classical litureature characters. Canterbury Tales, Regency lit, (Cause you can never have too many snarky Regency women), Dickens books.... Ok, I'll shut up now. That's enough.

Calvin and Hobbes. They so would belong here . . . a cardboard-box time machine appearing in the middle of the bar . . . I'll do it if I can find someone to work with me.

What I don't understand is out of all the HP characters we have playing (I know, I know, we don't need anymore, cause we already have five million-ish), why no one has chosen Oliver Wood. Cause, Sean Biggerstaff! And his arse!

And I think someone needs to bring Percy in. And he needs to be gay. *nods*

*discretely shows her current HP slash pairing. or perhaps non-discretely*

Lucas from Empire Records. Who, I suspect, I may end up bringing in myself if nobody else does soon, because his entrance post is writing itself in my head.

*headdesks*

Word, all around. Zachary Gray freaks me out, too, especially in An Acceptable Time. And yeah, why don't we have any L'Engle people? There's so many possibilities! C'mon, y'all, I want a Mrs. Whatsit. Or an Aunt Beast.

Did we have a Jesse Custer? From Preacher? 'Cause if not, we should.

And a Cassidy. And a Tulip. And oh dear lord, a Saint of Killers.

Played responsibly, it would rock.

OH! And!

Jonathan Strange! WE NEED A JONATHAN STRANGE!

Lucas! Yes! Do it!

Oh, the possibilities here. So many wonderful characters...

(Note to Self: You have no time. Do not even think it.)

[identity profile] skjaldmeyjar.livejournal.com 2004-12-06 09:24 am (UTC)(link)
Games of Calvin ball... and deranged monster killer snow goons... Yes. We need those!

[identity profile] forbiddensailor.livejournal.com 2004-12-06 09:26 am (UTC)(link)
I was just talking to Kefka-mun about this.

I think the bar needs more video-game characters. Squaresoft(nix) games in particular, are good.

I might bring in a Schala myself, if no one else does.

I mean... it'd be so appropriate. ^_^

[identity profile] skjaldmeyjar.livejournal.com 2004-12-06 09:27 am (UTC)(link)
Some more manga characters. (Yes, they're in anime too, but I've never seen the anime for all the different sorts of manga I collect!). Inu Yasha. Eat Man. Wish. Alita!

Other books- .... too many to list. Gordan Korman characters (This Can't Be Happening at McDonald Hall, Losing Joe's Place, A Day in the Life of a Garbage Bag) would be awesome.

And I'm surprised there aren't more various Star Trek characters.. *toddles off to seriously ponder that one char.. hm*

O_O! Star Trek!!

::would adore a Data in the bar. That would just be entertaining >_< !!::

(loves manga, too. props.)

My wishlist includes Thursday Next from the Jasper Fforde novels, Jackie Chan from the cartoon series The Jackie Chan Adventures, Virginia Dare from 1602, and Mandy from the Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy.

(Yes, I watch a lot of cartoons.)

And Liam Pace. For plot. Charlie needs his brother.

Dude, Anakin would so all over that. "Grandson? Nsmed after me?" O_o "Oh, he has angst. There, there, pet, pet, I'll make it better, I swear!"

[identity profile] redeemed-one.livejournal.com 2004-12-06 09:44 am (UTC)(link)
Dude, if someone brought in the Wife of Bath, I would die of squee.
