I know y'all know what's up with Bernard, but how many of you know how it happened? Eh? Eh? I am prepared to say 'eh' until I pass through annoyance and out the other side.

It all began on All Hallow's Eve Eve, I mean the mystical magical first half of Milliween, I mean . . . I don't know what I mean.
10.30.04: Todd the cowboy dares Thom to carve up the bar. Thom whose costume somehow never quite happened does so and disappears without noticing the Bernardian commotion, because Millitime is a many splendiferized thing.
11.06.04: Bigby the suspicious makes plans with Alanna to question Thom about his odd reaction to the bar's mystical magical repaired status. Alanna commiserates but requests that Bigby not hurt Thom. Watch this space.
11.14.04: Alanna lulls Thom into a false sense of security with hugging. For shame. Bigby and Thom are introduced and the questioning begins. Thom talks a lot of crap that is really astoundingly crappy in its crappitude. He also more or less implicates Anthy and Lucifer but as far as I am aware that went all of nowhere. Moving on! Thom eventually gets (even more) pissed off and sarcasms his way out without actually answering any questions. Alanna suggests roughing Thom up to get the information out of him. Did you see that? That was the watched space explaining its watching. Bigby agrees to this and they part ways.
11.15.04: As the message burned into the bar (beware the walking dead) implicated Paul, Paul gets an interrogation of his very own. Todd is deemed Paul's interpreter. Post-snark, Paul admits that he did not deface the bar. Nor does he know who did. Todd agrees to share any new information he finds.
11.20.04: Todd tries to find out if Thom was interrogated. Thom unhelpfully lies and says he spilled the beans, which unsurprisingly earns him nothing but pain. Eventually the truth (or most of it) comes out and Todd urges Thom to be cautious. It is almost sweet.
11.20.04: Thom refuses to have a little talk with Bigby. Todd, Alex, Roger, Rasputin, and Anthy-as-Meg gather to observe the doom. Bigby knocks Thom out and is promptly attacked by Alex. This lands him in a cell of his own. Isn't it nice to befriends "friends" friends with Thom?
11.23.04: Raph pays Thom a visit at Alanna's request. Thom answers no questions. It all goes rather. Um. Terribly.
11.24.04: Bigby appears to take Thom's sarcasm seriously, causing a bit of a panic. He also has trouble believing that Thom did not in fact know who Bernard was. Actually true. Tim steps in for a little good cop/bad cop. However, it goes nowhere.
11.30.04: Todd asks Alanna about what happened to Thom. What happened is that he and Alex got locked up, right? Right. Visitors are not allowed. Perhaps that should be "not allowed." Todd claims not to have heard anything new about the bar defacement. Alanna is suspicious of him. Backstory is revealed on both sides and they discuss whether or not Thom is guilty. They both hope not.
11.30.04: Raph visits Alex, who is insane. But that is a different plot altogether, so ha? Alex says he's in for defending Thom from Bigby and is not exactly optimistic re: Bigby's chances of getting a real confession out of Thom.
12.04.04: Alanna convinces Bigby that Roger can get information out of Thom.
12.04.04: Alanna gets Roger to go along with this plan. She also asks that he not attempt 'anything untoward.' Ahaha. Ahahahaha. Ha. Oh, Alanna.
12.04.04: Bigby will be listening in on this conversation. Therefore Roger and Thom resort to dual communication. Magic is love. After a certain amount of spoken banter and mental conferencing, Roger asks aloud if Thom knew about Bernard. Negative. Was it Thom's idea? Thom avoids answering. Roger is scary and angry and that is genuine emotion folks yes sirree Bob all the way from beyond the grave. Once in a lifetime (deathtime?) event. It is concluded that Thom knowingly committed only a bit of vandalism. Roger will report this to the authorities.
??.??.??: I don't know. It's a mystery.
