Cliff's notes on the End Of The Universe; Destruction.
[Given the number of different 'takes' on PC's, and the fact that there's all diff types of fiction bumping here; How much crossover is there, really?
I mean, there's so much HPotter here, and I've never read a drop...the Vampire union sems to have taken off, as has the Sad Old Souls Squad, the Wand Tribe, and the Demons Local 666, but most of the angels seem to ignore each other ( i said most, if it's not you, then move on), and the other 'fringe' characters, who are very well done, and applauded for their originality, have to fight for a space.
Where are we? And is there going to be a fight every night?
Granted, of the major occurances, there are grand crossovers, but i think that crowd is a bit inbred, playerwise, right? I like having to meet another PC when i dun know the player.
Yanno, much like Destruction, i've started of to do somethingmeaningful, and it's ended rather abruptly in a crash.
dammit.]
[Here's Destruction's motivation: if you dun know, Destruction quit some long time ago. Just walked off to let things happen without his hand specifically in it, most likely because things come unravelled whenhe's aroun, and he grew weary of hurting hose around him. The nature of Destruction is radical change, not hurt.
Anyway, sometime soon after the Death Of Dream, and his 'replacement in office' ( like, but then again very unlike Pratchett's take) by young Daniel ( google it, baby), Destruction took an 'apprentice', a young Spanish/Israeli boy who was in a state of non-death since his birth and murder in 1967.
The new Destruction (Emmanual), has only recently met his 'family' ( in Milliways), and does not reveal that he's the New Guy. Also, he is having a very hard time treating them as 'family'; he views The Endless as more of a 'gang', or a very exclusive tribe. He's travelled alot, and recently ended a near-romance with Tefe, the current ruling Elemental of Earth (and quasi-daughter of John COnstantine). He made his home with the Parliament of Stones while his heart healed. He has all of the knowledge and emotion of the original Destruction, mixed with the life and ardour of a 27-yr old man. He is confused very much as to the power that destroys the universe, since he has nothing to do with it. It is surmised that part of his power had been 'tapped', or resides in a number of objects d'magica, much like Morpheus' Infusion of items before. He has a unprohibitable intolerance for devils and fallen angels, whom he views as 'spiritually lazy', and unworthy of their power, but otherwise recognizes the need for other 'monsters' (vampires, etc...). Sometimes, tho, he is still a bit naieve', as is evident in his recent dealings with The Corinthian, and Hob. He was recently involved directly in (conned into) some very bad business with Loki, and has learned to use his power to inflict destruction beyond death: deletion.
There you go. Hope that explains a bit.]
