Monday Daily Entertainment: AU Edition

Morning, everyone!

Well, afternoon here... but hopefully it's still morning for the majority of you (work's been mad).

Since we're now hip-deep in AU Week, here's a AU-themed question for you all, in honour of Pokemon Go's recent one-year anniversary:

Congratulations! Your character is a Pokemon trainer. What kind of trainer would they be - a researcher, a gym leader, a healer, a Pokemon breeder, or a travelling fighter? Would they favour a 'type' of Pokemon (fire, water, earth, electric...) or perhaps just those with a certain trait or personality? Would they have a tiny close-knit team of monsters, or would they try to catch 'em all? Would they - gasp - work for Team Rocket?

Sabine: She's an ex-Team Rocket and is definitely a traveling fighter now. She'd specialize in fire and fighting types I think; although she'd appreciate all pokemon simply for the vast variety and color to their forms.

Sam Wilson: He'd be a wondering pokemon healer and would specialize in bird and flying types. I think he'd be a collector and would rarely have his pokemon in their balls.

Amascut likes fire types. Duh. Fighter types are also a favorite. However, she has an insta-grudge with anyone that has cat pokémon. So of course she couldn't possibly be in Team Rocket. She most likely is a rival to Giovanni, secretly at the head of her own ring of gym leaders and criminals, but publicly, she is a troulemaking lone trainer who has been travelling the world and wrecking shit for a long time.

Fairy Fixit is a fairy and bug type collector and researcher. I don't know whether she would be obsessive or whimsical enough to actually call herself Fairy Fixit though. :D

Sunshine works at a Pokemon-themed bakery which also employs pokemon as part of its staff, making delicious and stat-boosting treats for trainers and pokemon alike.

Zelgadiss is a traveling trainer who specializes in rock and ground type pokemon, surprise-surprise.

Yrael is a fire/psychic type legendary pokemon.

Sahaal would probably be a traveling fighter, specialising in electric or fire type Pokémon.

And in answer to your other question, hell yeah I've seen Atomic Blonde! I have no idea why everyone else hasn't it's literally one of the best films this year, and possibly the definitive espionage film of the last decade.

Yamato is an Ice-type gym leader in some kind of vaguely File Island esque region. He'd definitely have an Alolan Ninetales on his team, as the closest thing to a Gabumon evolution that Pokemon has.

(Presumably the other Chosen would also be gym leaders, so you'd have, like, Fire-type Taichi, Flying-type Sora, Electric-type Koushiro, Grass-type Mimi, Water-type Jyou, double-battle themed Fairy type leaders Takeru and Hikari, and then Bug/Dark-type Ken.)

Eden would be a travelling trainer with a leaning towards Dragon, Fairy, and Ghost Pokemon.

Related to your unrelatedness: I just saw Atomic Blonde which was AMAZING and now I have SO MANY NEW AU EMCEE IDEAS NOW because Emcee running an illegal dance club in East Berlin where all his boys and girls are kickass spies is screaming in my brain.
