I searched for "ambigous", because your character has never seemed mean to me, but he's not acting nice. At all. And this picture was sort of dreamlike, and fluid. And muted colours, which seemed appropriate.

Dreams seems appropriate for Morpheus: he's the former ruler of the Dreaming, master of dreams and lord of nightmares. At the same time, he, like the rest of the Endless, is shaped by the dreams, concepts and perspectives of others. This picture, with its brilliant colours and strange surreal shapes, struck me as an excellent picture of dreams. And the ghostly ship reminds me of Morpheus' funeral barge.
