Claire's bartending shift.

Claire's bartending shift begins with a letter from the younger Charlie informing her he's leaving the bar again.

Barry is her first customer and he's pissed because the Phantom has struck again. He tries to steer the conversation away from the Phantom so he won't spoil her good mood but she insists and he finally tells her there might be two. She offers herself as bait to catch one or either, but he says no. He tries to change the subject by asking her about her good mood, and she tells him about Sawyer. He gives his blessing even if he doesn't particularly like Sawyer, and she goes about her day happily.

Sawyer himself shows up wanting a kiss and a domestic beer, but quickly reassures Claire he doesn't mind his girlfriend being foreign at least. Then he tells her about talking with Jaina and she reacts with a little jealousy and a lot of insecurity that he'll get bored with her because she isn't a Jedi. So he tells her the story about Snow giving him the bunny when he came in the bar as an eight year old, and explains to her that he loves the bunny even if it didn't do anything cool, and that he's not going to get bored with her because he loves her. She gets a clue and finally says the words back to him. She offers to bring him some food up when she gets off her shift and he says to only bring something he can eat. . .off her. Ahem. I'm sure she'll come up with something.

Claire meets Ms. Frizzle next who happens to be a teacher like Claire wants to be. They talk about being bound, the island, and Ms. Frizzles's good friend Jasin Natael.

Liz comes up next to get a soda. After the introductions, Claire tells Liz she knows some of Liz's friends-- Michael and Isabel-- which leads to Liz revealing she is not one of Isabel's favorite people. Claire tells her Isabel attacked her when she first came into the bar because Claire looks like Tess. Liz freaks out and explains that Tess killed her best friend Max. The two are upset and the subject quickly turns to the island and the fact that Claire really has no where to go if she isn't Milliways. Yay, for cheery threads.

Asar-Suti comes by next for his usual mint julep and then steers the conversation around to Seth's immortality. He offers to help Claire figure out exactly what was done to Seth. Then they talk of Gil, the upcoming New Orleans party, and the babies Seth and Joshua. Claire tells him she's now a follower of The Green Man.

Claire meets Erin next and really the only thing that happens is Erin is disturbed to hear Tony and Claire are friends, and once went on a date. Claire quickly assures her that Tony is happy with Michelle now.

Grown up Charlie is back from the wedding looking spiffy. Claire waits a whole five seconds before gleefully telling him that Sawyer loves her and she is going to follow a fertility god from now on. Charlie is, understandably, concerned. But Claire is having none of that and demands he be happy for her. The conversation takes a quick detour to Charlie's happiness, and then veers right back to Claire's new "religion". She tries to explain things to him, which quickly turns the conversation towards much inappropriate flirting as they try to make each other blush. Claire wins the game as usual because Charlie eventually chickens out and Claire gets annoyed. They start flirting again, only this time with less unresolved sexual tension and more we're insane. The conversation goes back to Jack, Claire's new god, and Claire admits she hasn't told Sawyer about him yet because she's been too distracted lately. . . .Which of course leads them back to sex, and the ways to keep it interesting, and Claire acquires two cans of honey dust from the bar upon Ace's suggestion last week. They make plans to report on the experience (looks like Sawyer's getting dinner tonight). Charlie tells her something Sawyer told him the night before, and she lays both theories to rest. Then Charlie leaves, promising to come back for her on Friday.

Helen comes by to lament some more over her woeful love life, and Claire tries to cheer her up the best she can. Which, unfortunately, isn't that much because she's Little Miss In Love right now.

Faith drops by to congratulate Claire on her love life, having heard the news from Sawyer first hand. Claire admits she doesn't want to tame him and tells Faith about Jaina and Sawyer making up. Claire asks about Faith's slip, and she tells her about Isabel's wedding. Claire relates the story once more of how Isabel thought she was Tess, and the subject turns to Michael and Faith's arrest record.

Continuity-wise, Claire talks to Liam last where she gushes some more about Sawyer (I dare you tell her to stop). She tells Liam about the New Orleans party, and swears she isn't flashing anybody for beads. . . Unless she's with Sawyer and gets really drunk. She realizes it's time for her shift to end and they say goodbye.

After her shift is over, Claire takes puts some of her tips on Indy and Sawyer's tabs. The former as payment for her tutoring and the latter because she loooooves him.

You're welcome. *snuggles* Most browsers have a search function for the page: that's how I usually find the errors.

That's a lot of 3's.
