Must... summarize... Happy Hour...
Tonight's specials are gloom, doom, and woe, if you know how to read the DT symbolism. Eddie however pretends he is not in a lousy mood for:
Ace who tells him about Lilly, and they discuss the boom-boom. Also Dr. Who canon and Oompa Loompas and general ramble. Oh and Lilly because--
Eddie meets Lilly and they talk about underage drinking and being dead at Milliways, picking up elseworld slang, and naked Thursdays.
Alain drops by to debrief Eddie on karaoke and what Roland wore for it. Eddie is pleased.
However, it is not a good time to bring this up with Roland because he is here to yell at Eddie. Only without yelling, which is worse. Eddie is stubborn and sulky because he always is, but sekritly knows Roland is right. Then, on to the party, and Roland is serene about dressing like a pirate and smug about surprising everyone.
Door comes by for a quick drink and makes Eddie's acquaintance. They both know and love Ingress.
Bernard promotes Eddie, and then they talk about dropping shoes and Eddie's respect for someone who can stand by his own rules even when they come back to bite him in the ass. Also, somewhere in there, Eddie volunteers to take the Bar-link on Bernard's honeymoon, I think.
Finally, Audrey Raines brings her multiday one woman wake to the Bar, and Eddie slowly realizes it is time to play the Bartender Knows Best card, which involves alcohol-less drinks and coffee and toast and water and talking and making sure she has a room and cutting her off and trying to get her to talk to Venkman. SLOWTIMED.
