Bartending A Go-Go!
First customer of the night is Mr. Gil Grissom of the Las Vegas crime lab. He wants a scotch on the rocks, which he receives promptly from Mr. Almeida. Grissom's in a good mood, vaguely so. They discuss, briefly, the dinos that broke their respective brains last night, which nicely leads into career paths and Grissom's very strange childhood hobbies.
Beer you can't see through does a body good--in other words, Elaine is next. They discuss her new job and ways to distract oneself from meloncholy. Tony believes distractions are a Very Bad Thing (duh, he's Mr. Unemployed Drunk Living With A Bartender Named Jen in Season 4) and suggest Elaine look in to therapy and medication. After brief chit chat about their significant others, wherein Tony suggests Elaine ask Ryan for swimming lessons (for great UST?), Elaine tells Tony he is a good friend. Tony is still guilty from the Dina incident and doubts that this is true.
Janet, in search of Bernard, orders an ice tea and meets Tony. Of course, he brings up the dinosaurs again. And, of course, where there is a Tony, there is also a Michelle. Due to a rather unfortunate union between my keyboard and soda, part of this conversation is rather implicitly sexual due to a missing word. Drat. In any case, when they are not being sexual they are debating the location of their vacation home, which will be bought by Michelle's undying love and gratitude.
Tony's Dead Old Boss #1 (or is that #2, given that he died after George?), Ryan Chappelle, orders a Sam Adams and finds out about the Dina Araz fiasco. He is not very judgemental. Susan, having met Tony's woman the other day, says hello and orders a rootbeer. Yet again, the dinos are mentioned. Susan tells Tony about Wash before leaving with a hot chocolate and two roses (hrm!).
Lastly, Jack Bauer is forced to talk to Tony. There is mutual apologizing and guilt before Jack leaves to find a table.
