In which Bernard gets weirded out by everyone he speaks to, including inanimate objects.
Bernard comes downstairs looking sleepy, and notices the perhaps-not-quite-so-dead!Janus. He orders coffee, and starts talking to Door. This is a bad idea, because Door basically verbally castrates him by the end of the conversation. He's whupped.
Meanwhile, HAL and Bernard have yet another unnerving conversation, this time about Janus and HAL's omniscience, which makes Bernard extremely uncomfortable.
A moment later, Anthy and Bernard strike up a conversation, again extremely cryptic and vaguely frightening. Bernard sticks it out valiantly and orders her some Atlantean. They drink for a bit, and after a while Bernard starts going off on tangents because of the tequila.
He decides to turn in and take in some light reading to clear his head a bit; the bar gives him Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. He retires, amused and disturbed.
