Serenity Prequel Comic Debuts!

Attention all Firefly fans!

Dark Horse Comics has released the first issue of the three-issue Serenity prequel comic, with story co-plotted by Joss and written by Bret Matthews (who wrote "Heart of Gold").

Feel the Jossitude.

Already read it. Snagged it at local shop that you can only get stuff at if you pre-order, didn't order Serenity in time to have the issues waiting for me.

Part of me is going "Oooh! Big reveal and nifty new characters!" and part is going "Gaaaaaaaah when are they gonna finally tell us what the cubs' names are?"

. . . current fan estimates place the names given and Bigby's return somewhere between #42 and #50.

I was gleeing through the whole thing. And then I finished it feeling vaguely unsatisfied. I wonder why.

Oh yeah. Because it felt like one-third of an actual episode.

(okay also because I didn't feel they wrote River well but never mind that.)

More please.
