Question for mods

What's the policy on children of characters in the bar, and being able to bring them in?

One's a canonically character who is currently Millicanoned to be a toddler now.

Another's going to be Millicanoned when they're born.

Can the parent bring them in? Or does the child need to be seperately approved as an individual character?

Also, what's the policy on spouses of pups if they're from the same canon, but haven't been to Milliways yet. Can they be brought in, or alo require seperate character approval?

Wondering for possible future plots, thanks for your time.

Not a mod, but my character brings in his (canonical) young daughter as an NPC from time to time, and nobody's ever told me not to.

*points down to response*

I think that solution to the situation seems reasonable enough.

Children are more likely to be allowed without seperate apps, at the very least. Adults you'd need a seperate application, even for a spouse. Godding an unapped spouse in OOMs is okay, I think. You'd need to point it out if/when someone apps the character at a later date if you're not going for alternate timelines.

I don't know if you've done this already, but you might want to drop this question to them in email. They're running on different time zones and the like, and that'll be a sure way to make sure they see this before it gets buried under today's game play.

Children are the only exception to the no-OC rule. See: Millie and Wade, Seth, Joshua, and Anthony. Once they are old enough to run around freely, they need their own journal. So, the Milli-baby one can be apped once he/she's old enough to merit a journal.

The canon one must be applied-for as she grows; since Liam brings Megan in, in his journal, it's permissable to just have her tag along in Peter's journal. However, as she gets bigger, it would be smart to either play her separately yourself, or get someont to play her (more fun).

Is that clear?

Anytime.

You don't need to app the toddler at first if you just kind of wanna have him tag along a little with Peter. He's still small enough. But I'd app him within 6 months or so.

This is rather good to know. I've been meaning to email and ask, but we're so far from this little planned bit of millicanon that it seemed like it could wait.

How old is old enough to need their own journal?

Man, I really dislike the idea of naming a specific age. Just use your common sense. Toddler or older. And if it's a canon-kid, you might just give it its own journal from the start.
