I liked Alex, for the whole two or so pages he was actually in. Pity there wasn't less Jon and more Alex.

But yeah. I read somewhere -- I think my source was carmarthen, or via her -- that Lalasa/that other chick is canon in Tamora Pierce's head. Though there is a sad lack of Rather Explicitly Sexual in the text itself.
