All right, so it's suddenly occured to me that there may be people out there who have no idea why I keep changing names when Howl talks to people. Therefore, an explanation (with as few obvious spoilers as I can manage)!

Howl enjoys giving aliases, as any good utterly heartless wizard would. It stems from his deep and abiding fear of commitment. Of any type. So, if he gives you a name that does not contain 'Howl' or 'Pendragon', do not think he hates you. Quite the reverse, usually. *g*

The same goes for if he does not answer your questions. He's just... *sighs* It's the commitment thing again. He's sick, I tell you!
