The plotlet Death got involved in is not going to continue. So we are indulging in retroactive continuity.
After Dream went nuts and attacked Desire last Thursday Death knocked him out. She then spent the weekend in the most beautiful garden ever dreamed, which was expanded on nightly by Peter Pettigrew, helping figure out her younger brother's brain....and holding his hand while he utterly freaked.
The effect of being two steps out of reality is what caused the lack of people-dying away from Milliways.
This should tie the loose ends.
