Personally, I'm denying the existence of the Keanu Reeves thing because:
1. It is NOT called Hellblazer, so I don't have to believe it has anything to do with John
2. I have a theory that Keanu Reeves is completely CGI. This is supported by the fact that he has not changed appreciably in twenty years, and has the acting ability of a sequoia. If he's computer-generated, then the movie is not really a movie--which uses actual actors--but a cartoon, and need not be taken any more seriously than Shrek 2.
I just got added as Zatanna, and I was hoping we could talk before I make my grand character entrance, as we have some history as characters, and quite frankly, every time I end up somewhere weird, it's usually your fault. ;) (I have posted in your your main journal in more detail, if you want mine, it's killalla, but that's not very RPG related.)
yes. I saw that in my journal and was going to email you, but it's more appropriate to talk here I guess.
I (me, Spiderine) only know Zatanna from the first original Books of Magic graphic novels, when John brought little Tim Hunter to see her. Tell me what I need to know.
Okay, so long story short, we dated at one point but broke up, but we are relatively friendly with each other nonetheless. Basically as far as I can tell, you show up, bad things happen, much sorting out has to be done, I get annoyed and roll my my eyes, but you're charming at me so I don't mind really. I think we do like each other, but as friends for the most part. Oh, and you're one of the few people who's likely to call me Zee.
In the past, you've got a bunch of magicians together to do stuff, including me and my father Zatara, and he ended up getting killed (Alan Moore run of Swamp Thing). Later you showed up on my doorstep with Tim Hunter (as you know from Neil Gaiman in Books of Magic) who was a sweet kid but was being hunted by half the magical community. Most recently, I got home from tour to find you drunk and naked in my house after having been seduced and cursed by some goth-chick magic wannabe who had a vendetta against me. We managed to sort that out, but you also inadvertently scared off the cute guy I'd started dating in the process. (Although you rightly pointed out I'd just have got him hurt or killed due to my high risk lifestyle.)
My thought for the game is that I'll just show up at Miliways without quite knowing why I need to be there, and deduce you're the likely cause when I see you. You are entirely free to decide whether you want to confess or deny or whether you'd create a plot around it or not - that's just going to be the initial assumption I make. If you as a player are willing, it'd be nice to play through some of our background issues as characters, but I leave it in your hands. Hope that helps, looking forward to it, etc.

That's really the pot calling the kettle black, as for the most part anyone who John gets involved with as a friend or lover ends up dead. Zatanna seems to be the exception to that rule.
Sure, just show up. John will deny deny deny that he had anything to do with it, which coming from him will sound like a lie even though it's the truth. I don't have any plots for John planned at this point, but if you have anything in mind you need him for, just let me know.

That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
And welcome to the chaos, by the way.
