Thread summary for great WTF.
The Jason subthread is sweet, and friendly, and cheerful. There are harmonicas.
Gorlim comes over to talk about music, and there is discussion of much music indeed, which only gets dangerous around here with discussion of Jasin Natael, because it leads in to talking about Moiraine. And Dream. Arithon is scared of Dream. Then Gorlim says something really stupid and Moiraine shows up. Arithon attempts to spend the rest of the thread pretending he doesn't exist, Moiraine is very Aes Sedai, Gorlim makes an oath, and Moiraine has added yet another to her collection of slightly mad swordsmen. (Dream, last night, in my head: "Good evening, beloved. I see you have added another oathsman. He will look nice over next to the potted fern.")
And Ramon. It isn't a really long thread. It begins with Ramon attempting to find out Mel's name, and getting very little help from Arithon. Who calls her As-yah. There is an attempt to make Arithon's fondness of the Ladies of Security sound sexual. It fails. Ramon asks if Arithon is trying to make him mad. (Yes.) Arithon says Ramon wouldn't believe him, Ramon says try it, Arithon gives an honest but naive response. Then things start to go downhill really fast. Ramon tries to get a rise out of Arithon, and Arithon let him think that he does. Arithon goads Ramon into total madness and throwing a punch. Arithon takes it, and states that Ramon hasn't found the thing to make him angry yet. Ramon gets caught in s'Ffalenn eyes and some of the madness goes away. It is hard to rage against something like Arithon's eyes. Ramon responds with cold hatred, and what was perhaps the bar's weirdest friendship is now a state of undeclared war.
