mostly b/c Harry's mun has been having phone issues (phone line's back up, btw, mun might get to play today)

So... when you are in your 'normal' RP'ing location (be that home or school or office or the moon), how do you connect to the 'net? (You know, like this mun, totally on dial-up... STONE AGE dial-up at that, my connection is only 28.8k... it SUX! And no, I can't get anything else... it's not available here.)

Yeah - at work we're all set-up on a big fat T3 or T1.... but I can't play from there much or they'll get all mad that I'm like, ya know, not doing work or something... so that doesn't count...

We got cableband in 2001. I never dared use IM services and the like before that. Hell™, I barely used message boards before 2001. I'd never have dared get an LJ before we got cableband, let alone try to RP with one.

Yeah - did the werewolf thing on dial-up AND w/o tabbed browsers... how's THAT for a challenge?

normal net stuff on dial-up isn't bad... but dl'ing stuff and major RP'age? not so much
though I've played 4 or 5 characters each with 2-3 threads at the same time... only way i manage is gmail and tabbed browsers

I do okay with Y! since they increased their storage quantity, but sans Firefox (or at least Opera), I'd never dare try to multithread.
