Note to all and sundry --

As I no longer have regular, controllable net access, Sirius may not be around much. He will be here and there, but I'm going to try to keep his Drama to a minimum. Just thought I'd let you guys know.

Tonks -- I have some ideas about the Harry Thing you were wanting to do, involving our new James. Cos poor Sirius is going to get rather overlooked if Harry's Real Dad is about too.

If the Harry Thing is tomorrow, don't worry about it. I probably won't be around much this weekend.

I don't think it had a scheduled time yet....Not sure.

No scheduled time as of yet...our Harry is currently moving, and will be back in a week or so.

I don't really know what the Harry Thing involves, but it seems to me that any meeting between Harry and the people of Milliways should involve Harry and Sirius, not Harry and James. Harry and James can meet later. It's Sirius that Harry loved like a combination of a father and brother, not James. Harry doesn't even know James. And Sirius loves Harry so much that if he weren't dead already, the fact that he's the only person who can't see Harry would be killing him.

Harry's and Sirius' friends have been busting their chops for some time to get the two of them together. It would be wrong of James to butt in. And James would know how important this is to his friend. I think that James would stay invisible, though he'd be pleased and proud to see his son and his best friend meeting again.

James will see his son again, and talk to him. But this is Sirius' time.

*hugs* I think that's absolutely perfect. You've hit the nail right on the head. Poor Harry would probably have a heart attack seeing both Sirius and James at once, anyhow...it's probably best to spread it 'round a bit. Harry's first encounter with James could be pretty jarring, to say the least, given how he reacted when he saw James in the pensieve. Getting to know his father as he truly was, instead of his idealization, will be difficult. But fear not...they'll meet eventually.

Sam? How does all of this sound to you?

Well, I'm not sure. I mean, you guys are both for it and I'm perfectly willing to go along with it, but it seems like it would be an interesting plot for Harry to gravitate to James -- he is rather obsessed with his parents in canon -- and for Sirius to feel a bit...overshadowed. I mean, on the one hand Sirius is his father figure, but on the other he's had time to get to know Sirius, albeit briefly.

Anyhow, it was just a thought, and as you say Petermun's idea is splendid too.

Ohhhhh, I wasn't understanding the direction you were going, there. Got it now. Sure, we can go the angsty road, too. Ultimately, it's not up to me, anyway -- Tonks is just the person trying to get Harry to the bar in the first place. Any interaction after that is up to you, Harry-, and James-mun. I was just thinking that Sirius had had quite enough emotional distress to be going on with and didn't want to add to it, but hell, if you're game...would definitely be interesting. *grins*

Oh BABES!!! that's rotten. Who'll do the happy hour things? Do you want Bernard and Gil to split the duty between them when Sirius is unavailable? Enjoy the rest though!

Well, there doesn't actually NEED to be a happy hour post, really, so I shouldn't worry too much.

I'm glad to hear that - spoiling one's kids is such a nice change of pace from the usual and takes them so much by surprise!

*grins* Mum seems to be enjoying it. She's off to work in the choir office this morning though -- she's helping to file the music in the new building. So I am all alone...with the siblings *laughs*

OOhh BigBro'!Sam!! I bet they enjoy that - though i suppose it depends on whether you are a playful and attantive big brother or a "bugger off I'm on the net" big brother.

A little bit of both :D They mind themselves pretty well, I just have to mediate disputes, show them how to work the tv properly (it's new -- inheritance from Distant Cousin Robert Deceased) and provide string cheese on demand....

String cheese - they think of everything in the US don't they!

*laughs* Really it's just mozzarella that's been pressed together into oblongs about as thick around as a finger. You peel off little strings of it...food that's nutritious and fun to eat! :D Emmy's addicted.

Awww, major suckage. Hope everything gets fixed soon. Ash is looking forward to meeting Sirius.
