summary time!

In order to take some of the stress off Ji, I volunteered to summarise the Photographic Adventures of [livejournal.com profile] artsmartscarlet and [livejournal.com profile] giftedthom. This starts waaay back with the summary she posted, since the rest of the thread never got summarised, and continues through a couple more days.

This started the other night, with Jane at first bugging Thom from her table (she heads over later).
From the previous Thom-conversation summary: She can't give Thom flowers like the other girls, but she has a camera. Thom really, really wants to know how it works.
Jane lets Thom see the camera, and he starts asking after instructions, diagrams, in fact anything that will tell him more. As he wonders over using something without understanding the parts, Jane takes his picture. She then agrees to find him some books on photography. Jane lets Thom keep the photo of himself, though from her wording he first thinks she means the camera; she winds up agreeing to get him a disposable camera as well. She leaves, but not without getting another photo of Thom when he's not paying her any mind. XD

The next day finds Jane back in the bar, goods in tow. She had the foresight to include an extra camera in case he wanted to tear one apart, and also confuses Thom with her use of 'yo' as a greeting. They discuss the relative breakability of cameras, and it somehow leads into Jane's family and her relationships with the members thereof. Thom (sekritly) thinks the events of 'Lane Miserables'* are highly amusing, and Jane flat-out SAYS they were, once she got out of the madhouse.

Skip ahead two days: Jane's foresight proves to be quite good. She hopes Thom isn't putting the books she got him through the same treatment, and then points out that he wasn't playing the idiot very well. (Not after spending most of her school career around Kevin Thompson and Brittany Taylor, anyway.**) She tries to get him to say why he's acting dumb at all, but makes the mistake of pulling out her sketchbook at the same time, which gives Thom a perfect opening to derail the conversation. Jane ends up drawing a rather evil-looking castle, with sharks in the (very wide) moat and everything. Thom asks about castles and kings and stuff, and Jane's RPer runs out of words for the conversation.
