Utena is crack, but it's such good crack. :) Have you read this fic (http://www.livejournal.com/users/harukami/72287.html)? It's about Utena, after she, er, leaves Ohtori, and she's waitressing. It's really good.

Um...just out of curiosity, as I do not have a functioning TV and have never seen any DvDs, who is Anthy? Beyond being the purple-haired Rose Bride. Is she a spirit, a goddess, a cursed mortal, what?

Hmm. Well, the anime tries to implode the fairy tale "someday my prince will come" formula, and Anthy is its version of the fairy tale witch. Immortal, but not necessarily a goddess; I think of her as an archetype.

Actually, I think you have a better handle on her than I do... :) The only thing I can think of is when she took up the broom, and the, er, agreement she reached with Bartleby; I can't see series-Anthy doing that, but on the other hand she's not in Ohtori anymore, so it's probably fine.

*g* Actually, the next day I wished I'd done that differently, cause I think she would have stood there and let him attack her, and seeing his reaction would've been interesting. *le sigh* Thanks. :)
