Kitty Mayhem
This is an idea that came to mind late one night and, after chattering with the Badger (read: Ven), it seems like a fun idea. Wouldn't it be amusing to have a group of cats running about wreaking havoc through various threads?
1. If you have a pup who has a cat, or is a not'cat, we'd love to have you along. At the moment, it's just Námo as a not'cat and Gorlim's kitten Ailbhe. We plan to do this all day Sunday so everyone in various timezones can play, and we'll have an AIM chatroom set up so we can all keep track of each other and who is chasing who where. I would like to keep close tabs on all the cat-threads so we can post a summary on Monday. If this goes well, I would like to try and arrange something like this sometime next month, too.
This is modeled after the paper airplane threads, but a little more intrusive. The cats will be chasing each other through the bar into threads that are open to them. You won't interact in the threads since all you're really doing is making one tag in the middle of an ongoing thread (noting with a link where the cat has just come from in narrative) where you're chasing another cat and running through legs, across laps, over tables, etc -- where you are just making some cute and amusing and quick. Then you go onto the next thread.
As a side note, if a single thread has been crashed once, please don't crash it a second time. Multiple threads in one post, tag away -- but no more than one cat crashing per thread. Then it becomes bothersome and not amusing.
2. For those of you not with cats, but want to be a part of this, and want to have a cat crash your posts -- when you make an entrance post on Sunday, please make a small addition to your post: OOC: Cats welcome. We'll crash your threads. ^^ Also, Sunday, you can ping orchydconstyne, ven badger or rogertopcoder and let us know if you are currently involved in a thread you would like to have specifically crashed instead of marking a post as free. :) Make sense?
