Wherein Van Helsing has a long conversation...
Van Helsing begins the evening talking with Ulfin as best he can given that his voice is rather hoarse from the previous night's singing and dancing extravaganza. The conversation is interrupted momentarily by an explosion behind him, which he is assured is not a problem, and turns back to his tea.
A bit later:
He spots a confused looking woman heading toward the bar when he gets up to walk around for a bit. Not discouraged by her lack of vocal communication, save for a few mumbled words to the bar for a drink, he stumbles through a bit of a guessing game with the woman, he later learns is named Rose, to understand who she is. The charades-like conversation continues until Rose takes out, and hands to him, a 'futuristic gadget' that beeps and plays music and looks very foreign to him. She runs off to a closet and he hears a voice through the odd box in his hand. Momentarily baffled, he's mostly speechless until Rose explains the box he's holding. They talk of hovercars, werewovles and vampires, and why she must hide in a closet to speak with him vocally until he decides that finding somewhere else to talk would be beneficial so he doesn't have to speak over the noise of the bar.
[ooc: and that's where I gotta stop *pantpant* until the 'rest of the story' is constructed *g*.]
