So.

I am in need of information.

Specifically, foods related to your canon(s).

For example:

Gunslinger Tacos Burritos, DT
Turkish Delight (and others), Narnia
Coffee, ...Most canons
Apple Tea, Good Omens

Mentioned in canon specifically or millicanoned as being Big.

Y'got it?

Awesome.

Comment.

(I solemnly swear I am up to no good evil, to reassure you all.)

And, uh.

Cherry pie.

Twin Peaks.

Butterbeer, pumpkin pasties, cauldron cakes, bertie bott's beans, ice mice...Lord, JKR has a food fetish or something. Just go here. (http://www.hp-lexicon.org/essays/essay-food.html)

Danny Phantom has Nasty Burgers with special sauce that causes massive explosions if it gets too hot, but other than that normal food.

10th Kingdom has magic mushrooms that sing "Whiter Shade of Pale" and and talk like Billy Dee Williams. They make you fall into an enchanted sleep.

Andromeda's got Sparky cola, Neubayern Weisbrau beer, and lots of crazy alien cuisine.

Avatar has Fire flakes, blubbered seal-jerky, stewed sea prunes, and lots of other weird junk, but not as weird as HP.

Waffles with strawberries.

Apples.

Guinness.

Bacon.

TEA.

Let's see: this won't entirely be helpful until I can go back and review canon, but here are some things in general...

King Kong - Alcohol (not sure what kind, but it's 80 proof and Carl drinks it a lot; I will check canon later to see if he named a specific type of alcohol) and, um. Grapefruit. Yes. >.> Also something that might be oatmeal and which also doubles for shaving cream.

House - That I will also have to check up on, but Wilson eats and cooks a variety of exotic sounding foods, most notable of which are macadamia nut pancakes, which House shows up eating during a differential diagnosis.

Moulin Rouge - ...absinthe. >.>

Lost - Dharma Initiative brand food, including crackers, possibly Cheez-its, oreoes, and cereal. Locke once made a big deal about hunting wild boar.

[identity profile] jackdriscoll.livejournal.com 2006-06-22 05:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Also, Rod's canon has this book called "How to Serve Man," but I doubt that would be popular among human beings.

CSI: Coffee is the big thing. Chinese is also popular, regardless of whether or not the one eating is a carnivore.

[identity profile] dawning-star.livejournal.com 2006-06-22 05:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Also--Grissom loves eating frozen grasshoppers. Sara loves her chocolae and her vegetarian foods. Pasta, salads, that sort of thing.

[identity profile] from-topside.livejournal.com 2006-06-22 05:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Ribena (for anyone who knows what that is, it was used as fake blood on Forever Knight, undiluted *wince*) for Nick, I suppose.

Garion's been millicanoned as being a chocoholic.

Hephaestos likes kalamata olives, cheese, and bread.

[identity profile] furikku.livejournal.com 2006-06-22 05:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Roll cakes - Troubled Windows
Wall meat (pot roast) - Castlevania
Health drinks, Happy Burger, pizza - Silent Hill (OK, I'm sort of stretching a little here.)

[identity profile] psychicsaphie.livejournal.com 2006-06-22 10:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Also Silent Hill:

Coffee!

For Smallville, that is.

[identity profile] bohemian-mark.livejournal.com 2006-06-22 05:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Food in the Enderverse... the only big thing is Green Citrus Pudding at battleschool. (Ew.)

Star Wars I'll leave to those who know better.

Rent: Hooboy. Canon foods: bananas, Stoli(chinaya vodka), Captain Crunch, Diet Coke, iced tea, wine and beer, Absolut, miso soup, seaweed salad, soy burgers, tofu dogs, pasta with meatless balls, french fries, yogurt, rice and beans and cheese, curry vindaloo, huevos rancheros, coffee, and god-awful champagne. Milli-canon has added ramen and a pineapple-bacon-extra cheese (without sauce) pizza as Angel's trademark. (That's in addition to part of canon longing for a restauraunt in Santa Fe, and canon taking -place- partly in a restauraunt.)

Alanna: cherry or apple tarts. Also, she eats a lot of oranges. Fruit juice and tea also factor heavily.

Turtle: Chinese spare ribs with ginger. Szechuan style. A Hoo's On First specialty. Also, sausages.

Dr. Evil: Hot Pockets and Eggo's. Or a nice latte.

Tolkienish foods that the Elves and Men ate are... *thinks* cram (a traveling cake type thing made with milk and honey), lembas (the Elvish waybread), miruvor (cordial of the Elves), limpë (the wine of the Valar), and Dorwinion wine.

[identity profile] general-lando.livejournal.com 2006-06-22 05:52 pm (UTC)(link)
I will leave more extensive posts to the other SW folken. But is there anything more refresing than a Correllian ale after a long hot day on Tattooine?

[personal profile] mnt_mike 2006-06-22 05:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Okay, that's canon-wise. I should really learn to, you know...READ.

Millicanon: Milky-tea. A beverage more milk than actual tea.

[identity profile] bitter-innocent.livejournal.com 2006-06-22 05:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Count of monte cristo. The first thing Edmond insists that I mention is Hashish. Bread and very occasionally fish in prison. Seafood, fruits from aound the Med. Really, they list all sorts of foods, but put extra emphasis on few. Basically anything that was hard to aquire in France during the early - mid 1800s.

Ambrosia...

Really those are the only canons that bother to make a fuss over anything.

[identity profile] bitter-innocent.livejournal.com 2006-06-22 06:03 pm (UTC)(link)
and of course the generic alcohols. And lots of wine.

[identity profile] doc-venkman.livejournal.com 2006-06-22 06:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Venkman: Coffee is drink of the gods in Pete's mind. There's also hot chocolate, but Egon holds the patent on the best recipe of it. ;) Also take out chinese food for the 'Busters.

Giles: Tea. Lots of tea. Sometimes scotch, sometimes a pint. Scones. Weetabix.

Draco: HP items (thxs for the info, Saphie!)

Scully: Iced tea, root beer, non-fat tofutti rice dreamsicle (much to her partner's dismay in the ep, The Unnatural), and I think she ate some ribs and beer in one ep.

Truman: Mococco Cocoa (product placement insanity where he came from), cereal, macaroni casserole.

H'kay.

GB: Twinkies (especially big ones), candy bars, marshmallows. Millicanonically, Chocolate Frosted Sugar Bombs and the Green Stuff, which is completely artificial, non-alcoholic, non-toxic to standard Terran humanity, carbonated, mildly stimulant, dark green, faintly opalescent, and gives the appearance of sluggishly moving.

Dog Soldiers: pork (?) stew, steak or roast beef. (There was a dead flying fucking cow involved.) Millicanonically: bread, Guinness, Bass ale.

LOTR: lembas, cram.

Reign of Fire: tomatoes- fresh ones. Millicanonically, anything fresh, or any meat from large animals.

Firebringer Trilogy doesn't apply.

Discworld:
Coffee. Coffee so strong it brings you out the other side of sober.
Rat onna stick
Sausage inna bun.
Bananananananana Surprise.

Qatal Mollusks from Farscape, which are like clams, I suppose. Just don't share them. Lorna can give more info on other foodstuffs than I can though.

From Gormenghast, Fuchsia's favourite drink is Elderberry wine.

Cywyllog is, millicanonically, a tea-aholic. Melou is a plain alcoholic, though he prefers whiskey or scotch. Ale would be canon for them both, along with really weak wine.

Lucy, well, they killed livestock on the ark, so really fresh lamb and beef, chicken and eggs. Also possibly dolphin.
