Plot is love.

I've been wanting to plan a god-y plot for a while, and I've finally come up with a sketchy plan for one. With suggestions from others, here is the basic idea. Please do comment-- I'm open to suggestions, really I am. This isn't just for gods, actually. In fact, it will take a lot of input from and interaction with "ordinary" people.

... "Ordinary" being, as ever, a relative term.

Well, clearly, as she's mentioned in a passing sense, Hestia is available if you want her. I'll read through this again in the morning when I have brain space and see if I have ideas.

No gods among my bunch, but willing to contribute a pup or two toward ordinary human to be messed with. Truman might be intriguing since his life was originally manipulated by a person with a god-complex. Be a fun twist for actual gods to be doing so.

I'd be tempted to add Draco...maybe. He's got a lot on his plate. Even though he still doesn't even really believe in the gods that much... Hmmmm...

I'd say Truman definite. Maybe Draco.

Giles would know too much to be picked.

I have numerous ordinary and less-ordinary mortals who could be enlisted in this.

Also I have

not_ho_chunk, who rather likes at least some mortals, and would be neutral or on the human side, depending on which mortals get hurt.

So which mortals would that depend on?

Also, do you think you could give me a potential list of any mortals (ordinary or not-so) so that I can put that in my master list?

For the ones Gray Jay cares about, Nita Callahan (as well as her canonmates) and Ghost, mainly. And Sarah Rainmaker.

My mortals for the purposes of this are Sharpe, Gavroche, Kevin Fawkes, Liam Pace and Roshaun if he's still around.

Illyria is a demon god(dess). Sort of former, as she doesn't have any worshippers at the moment. She's currently kind of neutral-ish, though she could very, very easily be seduced by the evil gods for the sake of creating tension.

I don't want her to end up completely turned to the side of evil, but she's going to have some sort of dark things happening in a while and also some small progress toward the side of good. I like to keep people guessing with her, though, so she could be thrown in there as a sort of wild card.

... if I can remember to do silly things, like, write her.

Mmm, I'm liking this idea. Gods on the whole have never really had a plot, since we're a pretty big group and we tend to pull in different directions, but I can really see this working out.

The only roadblock that I can really think of at this point is that I think we're a bit low on flat-out evil or destructive Gods who'd want to kill everyone. I do, however, think there'd be no problem in finding gods who'd mess with people for their own interests. And that could easily turn messy.

But that can be worked out later, right now I'm just going "Eeee!"

Me, too! I love Eros. (Pun, if there was one somewhere in there, not intended.) I'm going to assume that this chara is going to be nice, yes?

Also, you're right about there being a low supply in the let'skilleveryone-gods department. I guess what I really meant was, gods that wouldn't feel guilty about manipulating.

Eros is... uhh! He has definitely manipulated before, and gotten into trouble for it. But it's still very much his thing. People fall in love in the bar all the time, so obviously he's never really taken the 'no business' rule too seriously.

Ha! Evidently not.

I'm just going to put him down on the manipulative side, even if he's not technically evil or anything. A role in the lust!sin part of the game would, I'm sure, be the obvious one.

I'd consider throwing a Kaye in, who's technically a pixie but has an unfortunate way of jumping in headfirst with disastrous consequences.

And of course I'm up for evil evil things happening to her :D

But depending on when it is, I may have time troubles...:(

You can have Styx, manipulative little bitch that she is. Though she's really too lazy to be completely bloodthirsty. She's more of the 'lounge about and have other people do my work for me' sort.

(And you can have Miss Lethe too ... cause I'm just mean like that.)

Hm. Interesting things could happen with Lethe, as she's immortal but she's a nymph. Which means she doesn't have any god-powerz, m i rite?

And therefore she'd be a god but easily manipulated, and swayed from one side to the other.

Lethe herself would be very much for the good side of things, but I would definitely agree with keeping her neutral. She might not want to, but the higher gods are her superiors and she sorta-kinda has to listen to them.

That and she's rather easy to mess with in the first place - she's getting better, but she's still an easy target.

And as for powers, she's got a couple but nothing too impressive. It's mostly the 'Uhm hey, you have amnesia. Oops!'

Hmm. Does Sam count? He's a Lucifer, but his siblings are the proper gods and goddesses- Freya, Thor, Seth, Minerva, Jehovah, and so on. So he's kind of a god. If so, he'd be either neutral or one of the 'kind' gods. Probably 'kind', since he's mostly quite fond of mortals.

I find that (slightly) amusing, as when I was sketching out the plans on paper I put all Lucifers down as on the "evil side." Just because, y'know, it's Lucifer.

But yes, Sam counts. I'll put him down for neutral, pending as kind.

Heh, Sam doesn't believe in conforming to stereotypes. It's all part of the charm. *pets him*

I think he'd best be kind, to be honest. Because he's all about bucking the stories about him, so personal feeling aside he'd probably feel he has to be the good guy.

Actually, Lucy is "good" canonically. As far as plot goes, I'm afraid all she'd really do is watch and giggle herself silly.

I have an ordinary mortal I can offer up for whacky god hijinks - Sansa Stark.

I also have a robot. Not sure if he's quite what you're looking for.

Tyche is the Goddess of Luck and Fate. She's all about the card games and dice. Most definitely on the side of the "kinder" Gods, I would think.

Tyche? Nice. :D Only problem is, now we have a really uneven number of evil versus good. At this rate, it will be no problem for the "good guys" to cancel out the "bad guys." Are you sure Tyche isn't bad, in her own way?

I don't think that she'd be running about slaying the humans, but she probably won't mind messing with their heads a bit. Yanno, in a "tough luck, eh?" sort of way.

Ha, yes. Indeed. I don't think anyone will want to slay them-- more mess with their heads. With their dice. (Ooh, look, a six! But zomg this Sudden Breeze turned it over and now it's a one! or similar. xD)
