Duuuude, Milliversary!
I was also one that missed my Milliversary. Because it was the same day as the start of Millicon. But I am going to do one now because I've never gotten to do one before!
As of July 13th, I've been in this game for two years. I wandered in off the rough internet side streets, a total newbie to all things fandom and geeky, and I thought to myself "hey, this will be nice way to spend a month or so!"
Oh, little did I know that two years from then, I'd be dedicating six months of my life to helping put together a convention for our baby community, playing not only a Fleur Delacour that wasn't evil but was married and knocked up, but I'd pick up four other characters of varying level of 'whore' or the bent Superman variety. Or that I'd pick up comics again, add a few Stephen King novels to my bookcase, or actually go and meet people I'd met over the internet. Crazy, man.
So, I'd like to say thank you, Milliways. Sometimes, you make me want to pull out my hair. I won't lie. But you've brought something lovely into my life along the way, especially some lovely people I don't know what I'd do without now, and really taught me how to be a better writer in general. Hee, playing fake people has helped me learn how to edit myself to make it a better story. :D
