how are you Gentlemen redux

Hokay. So. You may recall The Plotte of Hushe, known in the vernacular as Hushplot. It is still open and accepting all comers.

Due to the fact that there are three of us playing the Gentlemen, and several unexpected restrictions popped up even beyond our shameful having of lives, August 11, Friday night, is looking like the time. If you want to play and can't be around that night -- let us know. If you want to play and are from a wacky time zone that means you have to be in bed by 6 pm EST -- let us know. We don't live to please, but we can make a stab at it occasionally. So things may be workable outable.

You have no chance to survive.

Make your time.

ETA: This will not be overlapping with the masquerade, though both will be played on the 11th -- you can totally do both, but the Plotte of Hushe will commence, in game time, after the masquerade ends. Updates forthcoming.

Okay, so I have a dumb question. Is the entire plot happening on August 11th, or is that just the "this is when everybody wakes up voiceless" night, with the plot being spread out for a couple days after that?

[identity profile] shati.livejournal.com 2006-08-06 08:13 pm (UTC)(link)
That's when we start playing, and we'll probably still be playing for a few days.

The actual timespan . . . will probably be somewhere between one and two days. Not so long that the divide between the talking and the non-talking get seriously awkward.

I do not have to be in bed at 6pm EST, but that is because I'm insane and also because it's a weekend. I will likely be falling over by 9pm EST, though.

Ditto.

You may want to talk to Melpomene-mun, as she appears to have something planned (http://community.livejournal.com/milliways_bar/13860512.html) that night as well.

Just FYI.

Thanks for the heads-up!

*sulks* I cannot doooo Friday night.

[identity profile] shati.livejournal.com 2006-08-06 08:15 pm (UTC)(link)
You don't have to -- unless I'm wrong and Viv needs to kick my ass, they're going to be waking up voiceless Saturday morning/in the middle of the night Friday. We the Gentlemen muns need to start playing Friday night, but you could hop on Saturday.

[identity profile] shati.livejournal.com 2006-08-06 08:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Also, I cannot bear reproachful looks from Simon. Damn you! First woeful Andrew, now this.

WHAT YOU SAY!?

I'm on GMT + 10, so I don't QUITE know how that'll effect my ability to actually be about at the same time-period as the rest, but otherwise no probs here.

Is it too late to sign up for this?

[identity profile] shati.livejournal.com 2006-08-06 08:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Not at all! It is never too late to sign up for this. I mean, until we've declared it officially over. And people can join in Saturday if they can't make Friday.

Yeah, I already commented - I would just like to say that I decided! I'd like to have Buffy in for this in an, "Ohgod not again!" capacity. And because Hush is, as I said, my most favouritest episode evar liek zomg.

Rock. :D

Just in case anyone was wondering, it's okay to participate in both the masquerade and the Hush plot-- basically, since the Gentlemen generally only take your voice while you're asleep, all you need to do is stumble back to your beds after the ball and fall asleep.

Then, for you, the plot will commence.

So yeah. You shouldparticipate in both. :D Could be an exciting night.

Thanks for adding this -- I am all brainscrambly and slow. *edits post*

[identity profile] canadabear.livejournal.com 2006-08-07 12:23 am (UTC)(link)
This actually works perfectly, as the ball gives me an excuse for my puppet to get drunk and have a reason to stay overnight in the bar, as she would need to do for Hush plot.

:D

Replying here all kinds of belatedly, but.

I wish, I wish, I wish I had a character who would go to this IC, but of the two who would in my set, one's out of bar (Jack Sparrow, who'd remember Melly) and the other's got current Plotty Issues that prevent it (that'd be Moiraine, who'd be a perfect fit for a ball like this if she did not have the ISSUES right now).

To sum up, Argh. Because this looks like a lot of fun, and I did want to say that somewhere, at least.

OMG, Fred is SO IN. She's Buffyverse but wasn't in Sunnydale for this.

I should have DSL access then. Hopefully.

Having a Greg without a voice still thrills me immensely as an idea.

(But no, you cannot have his heart. Probably.)

Very late on posting (kept slipping my mind, alas)-but throwing Sheppard into this sounds fun.

You have a Charlie for it, btw, and possibly others if I have the brain power--as well as the nudge nudge wink wink you IM'd me about, of course.
