As you've noticed, we are moving slowly but steadily towards the end of the purge - which means the opening of apps in the Not Too Distant Future, and also the institution of the overall character-per-mun limit. However, in order to keep track of how many characters each mun has, we first must conduct...

THE MILLIWAYS CENSUS

What we need you all to do is to send, for each of your active characters, an email to the milliways.apps[at]gmail.com address, with the following information:

Name: [Your usual online moniker - what people in the game call you by.]
Character: [The name of the character.]
Fandom: [The fandom the character is from.]
Character LJ: [Link to the character's LJ.]
Contact: [Your AIM handle and/or email address.]

NOTE: G-mail is a høbag about separating individual messages from conversations, so do not include the subject line 'CENSUS', as instructed in the last post.

Trés simple, no? There are just a few things to remember.

• Send in one email for EACH active character you currently have ownership of. NO multi-character emails.
• Send in emails ONLY for characters that have been confirmed as active in the purge post. Please wait until a character has been confirmed as active before sending in an email for that character.
• Do NOT send in any emails for characters that were apped in the last open app week, ie, in April. These characters have already been numbered and tagged, as it were.
• If a character is one of those due to be retired or deleted in the very near future (eg, after Armageddon plot, or whatever), and was noted as such on the purge post, you need not send an email for that character.

This will be reposted every day until we're done, and the data we collect from this will help us decide on a final character limit. As always, if you have any questions, I am pingable as scuba soph on AIM, or emailable as copinggoggles[at]livejournal.com.

No, no, not at all - it's not that huge of a deal, it will just make a few character reshufflings in the future a bit nitpicky.

No, you're good - I figure since the only non-census apps we'll be getting will be one or two Emergency Plot Approval emails, not having a subject line won't kill us.

Are Josie and Meg confirming characters as active in the same way as Nny and Sophie? Because as it stands, I cannot enter several of my actives in the census just yet.

I have gotten a query on a few of my characters, and responded with my reasoning why they should stay active. Do I wait for a mod to say that they agree before sending the mail?
