Summary of recent activity...

An attempt to summarize my first Threadzillette, plus a few earlier threads leading up to it.

Well, by now you all know what happened on the Night Of The Evil Curry. The following morning is fairly uneventful; having spent the night at the bar, Cordelia wakes up and heads back downstairs, where she meets and talks to John Crichton, reassures Moiraine that the effects of last night have worn off, and forgives Will for not taking her hair down before falling asleep the night before. In company with Will and Moiraine, she has a talk with Anthy, which goes several varieties of nowhere before it's over. Cordelia manages to extract a quasi-confession and a highly dubious promise not to do it again from Anthy, and takes her leave.

It isn't until the next day that Cordelia realizes she's forgotten her notes in all the confusion, and spends the next couple of days hunting them.

Looking for a bartender doesn't work. Asking Elizabeth if she's seen the notes is worrisome, but unproductive; Will doesn't know where they are either.

While there's still no bartender the following day, Cordelia is lucky enough to run into Peter Pettigrew. After a short conversation involving James Potter, the lost-and-found, and Cordelia's Project, Peter asks the bar for the key to Sirius's office, and gets Cordelia her notes back.

Later that evening: Cordelia meets Ender Wiggin, who mistakes her for Moiraine Sedai. They talk; she is impressed by his vocabulary. She also meets Gabriel, who volunteers to answer questions about the Project. They talk for a little while about how Gabriel enters and leaves; Gabriel says that modern books call it teleportation, which flummoxes Cordelia a bit, as that's supposed to be impossible. (Of course, as she tells Ender, she's had to redefine her personal definition of "impossible" a lot since coming here.)

Ender and Cordelia talk a bit about trying to figure the place out, and about the implausible things they've seen. Ender says he thinks he saw an angel; Cordelia confirms that there are at least two about the place. (And has to up that to three, at Gabriel's reaction.) Ender goes wide-eyed at meeting an angel, and asks if she hears prayers. She says no. Ender asks if she is by any chance Mormon, and a short discussion on whether or not angels are religious ensues. It ends, as does Cordelia's own discussion with Gabriel, when Gabriel is distracted by other goings-on (*snif, wibble*).

Meanwhile, Cordelia has introduced Ender to Will Stanton (who is also a bit distracted; he and Gabriel have a brief side discussion on the matter). The two boys exchange pleasantries, and Ender mentions that he was heading off to colonize a world. Cordelia unwittingly puts her foot in it by saying that this means she and Ender are in the same business; Ender reacts badly, saying that he's done with his business -- which, when asked, he clarifies as "the tool of humanity." Cordelia is sorry but doesn't quite understand; Will, on the other hand, is in a position to sympathize. The two much-older-than-they-should-be boys talk some about being a tool, and how even victory is cruel sometimes. Ender gets more and more distressed, and mentions Valentine. Will, after some explanation of this, says he's sorry; Ender once again reacts badly, and insists that Will shouldn't be sorry for him. Will says that he is anyway. Ender's distress reaches a breaking point, and he loses consciousness. Will catches him, and carries him to another thread.

At some point prior to this, Ella attempts to eavesdrop on the discussion and falls over. There is some discussion between her, Ender, Gabriel, and Will; Cordelia says hello but nothing further comes of it. (Cordelia-mun has by this time long since Died Of The Sleepy.)

...I think that's everything.

Whew -- quite the story! Good job with the summary, as well.
